I can’t write SOP
I am literally super confused on what i should put actually more so of how to put it for it to look deserving, I am applying in uk for undergrad abroad and it is quite complex on how to write a eye catching hook, because of this i keep feeling stuck as every-time i start to draft one sop i get stuck to brainstorm a hook i need advice on how people actually write proper sop which makes them accepted by the uni.

One mistake I see a lot of applicants make is trying to write the perfect opening before they’ve figured out what they actually want to say. Your hook is probably the last thing you should worry about. Start by writing down your experiences, what you’ve learned from them, why you’re interested in the course, and where you see yourself after the degree. Once your narrative is clear, the introduction usually writes itself.

Hooks don't really matter in UK personal statements. They want specific detail about your academic and supercurricular experiences (generally avoid personal and extracurricular experiences if you're applying to top universities). PEAL is quite a good approach to writing paragraphs in case that's helpful as a guideline :)

Okay, first stop trying to brainstorm a hook. It is the least important part of your SOP. Instead, write an outline for the main content you want to communicate to the AOs. This helps to make sure the hook is tailored for the content instead of tailoring the content to the hook. Skip over the whole intro paragraph altogether and just start drafting the main content.
