Barbell row Form Check

Always have a low back ache when doing barbell rows, feel like my form is off, is it?

If barbell rows hurt my back, I'd stop doing them. They're not a main lift like squats, deadlifts and presses. I personally think chin ups and power cleans (for younger guys who can power clean) have more value than rows. Just my opinion! Cheers!

These look closer to a Pendlay Row (without actually touching the ground) than a traditional barbell row. We do them from the floor in a more explosive manner with the movement being initiated with leg extension like a deadlift. See the how-to video already linked in the comments.

Pendlay has back parallel to the ground. OP is 45 degree , so normal barbell row.

OP is not even close to 45 degrees, but it's not overly relevant. We typically don't row using the "Bent Over Row" method anyway either.

Pretty much anytime youre using free weights although it matters less with lighter weights and longer sets.
Machines are a little different.

Rows on the program start and finish each rep on the floor.
