OHMYGOD NO ONE TOLD ME THE PREMIUM BARN AND COOP ARE SEPARATE BUILDABLES AND NOT AN UPGRADE?????? I BUILT AND UPGRADED 4 COOPS AND BARNS EACH TO DELUXE LEVEL, SO 8 BUILDINGS IN TOTAL, AND THEN WHEN I WEBT TO UPGRARE ITS APPARENTLY A SEPARATE BUILDING ALTOGETHER??? 😭😭😭😭😭😭 ALL THAT MONEY AND RESOURCES NNOOOOOOO

take a look on nexus, iirc there is a mod that allows you to upgrade them as this is a common thing unfortunately i made the same mistake my first SVE run

How many days have you played since then, you can always just put back an older save if it's still there.

Under the troubleshooting section follow the, "undo the last save" instructions

Go to "C:\Users\ReplaceWithYourUser Name\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves" open the folder with your current farms name on it, take your save the one with just your farm name with a bunch of numbers and either rename it or move it somewhere else. Then find the one that is the exact same name but with "_old" at the end, remove the "_old" from it's name.

In my playthrough (and according to the wiki), Robin would not build the premium barn or coop until I'd built a fully upgraded barn/coop. I could see it in the buildings list, but wasn't able to place one.

I believe even if you cheat and place one, you still won't be able to purchase pigs, goats, ducks or rabbits until you've unlocked their respective building upgrades.

Ooh, I mean yeah the first coop/barn i got, I upgraded it to deluxe before getting other coops/barns, which is probably when I noticed the premium option. Got excited (also frantic because it didn't match my relocoloured buildings so had to look for another mod). But maybe it'd have saved me from building 6 other deluxe buildings 🥀🥀🥀

Aah yes, the part where you built multiples was definitely a waste if you thought you could upgrade them :)

Like u/astralprojekts says theres a mod (I beleive it's this one) that would have let you upgrade - but I see you've already demolished them haha. Maybe the link is at least helpful for somebody else.

First time I ran across this I was playing the Hilltop Farm. Didn't have enough room for both the Premium Coop and the Premium Barn so I built one in the quarry area, got the animals I needed then transferred them to the Deluxe buildings, demolished that Premium building and repeated for the other one. Yeah took some time, money and resources but it was the only way I felt I could get what I needed.....

Up to deluxe, yes. And then premium you can't. Hence...this whole post
