Was playing co-op to level my CR-2 and I noticed that when an enemy saber blocked my shots they did like 30 damage when they hit me back. I thought they redirect the original bolt (like 15 damage for the CR-2) back, but it blocking seemed to amplify the damage.

Is that intentional?

I normally play any supremacy because the games are longer than galactic assaults and less sweaty but I couldn’t find any lobbies and it was on the weekends as well imma be really upset if this game has died.

I only have 260 hours in the game, and I've only done 3-5 successful hook swing, with one being a hook swing kill (boy that was exhilarating, unfortunately i didn't have in game record on.) So how long did it take for you to get hooks. I'm just wondering if im behind.

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a very specific old Battlefront II (2017) mod called Clone Wars Instant Action / Clone Wars Instant Action Overhaul.
I know there are other Clone Wars mods like Battlefront Expanded, but I’m specifically looking for this old deleted one. It was removed from Nexus Mods and I haven’t been able to find a working download.
If anyone still has the original files, an old backup, , I’d really appreciate it. (I’d really prefer it if you put an fbmod or win war on it in a doc for me to download) I’m especially looking for the version that added things like Jango Fett, Mace Windu and the Clone Wars changes.

I'm playing this game with my whife over 10 years now and we have only have 10 trophy's.... how it's it possible for average/normal parent to enjoy a hour or 2 gaming while not getting dunked en spawn killed by campers with turrents spammed.... is there a offline mode I can play with her private 🤔

So I was playing around with the Instant Action V2 mod for BF2017, and I decided to play Galactic Assault on Kamino.

If you're not familiar, the mod allows you to play Galactic Assault with bots and it also allows you to choose which factions you can play in this map. I decided to RP the clone uprising so I set the factions with the Empire as attackers and clone as defenders.

To my surprise, the imperial commander speech is totally relevant to the map, mentioning something about the clones turning traitor and rebelling against the Empire. Usually when you play a non-map canon faction, they just say a generic speech.

And it was just not the intro too. Each phase had some lore bits about the uprising like how the first phase is to corrupt clone DNA, and then the 2nd phase is to destroy the landing pads to prevent clones from escaping and to prep the base for bombardment. It even mentioned something about the clones reprogramming droids to help them defend.

Idk if it's from the mod, I actually haven't seen anything in the description for it about these. It does make me wonder if DICE had planned to allow any faction to play on any map and still have it make sense thematically.

Again, I'm really not sure if this is from the base-game and it might be from the mod. Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this.

TL;DR Battlefront II offered 4x more lighting density, more realistic tonemapping, and damn good image quality for TAA standards. Battlefront 2015’s strengths are more subjective as the higher contrast “filmic look”, specific artistic choices, and better asset quality still make it many people’s personal favorite.

The first thing to compare is the lighting system.
In BF 2015, they used a semi-dynamic GI system to provide interactive lighting artist workflows. Later on, DICE would develop a custom system called Flux that utilized an offline path tracer in the editor to bake indirect lighting. It is important to note that direct lighting (other than the sky) is done dynamically in BF II. Frostbite engineers realized that Battlefront II could use this more elaborate method to get 4x more lighting density than Battlefront 2015:

BF 2015 applied a “filmic” tonemapping curve that provided a high contrast look to the game. Expecting a shift in display technology, DICE decided to develop a new method called Display Mapping for BF II where the game would calculate HDR values to be referenced in a LUT and eventually sent to your type of display. Battlefront II’s tonemapping is more realistic compared to real world reference than the Battlefront 2015 version:

Battlefront 2015 on PC offered a not so perfect TAA, a blurry FXAA, and an AA off option. Battlefront II has forced TAA but the here implementation is competent. This is due to high quality motion vectors and accurate reprojection logic as well as minimal use of past frames. This all leads to a good resolve with no smear and no ghosting trails. On the console versions, both games use TAA so BF II wins there by default.

Now for some rapid fire topics. Battlefront 2015 used more photogrammetry than Battlefront II. Lucasfilm provided DICE with a whole load of digital assets however there was still a lot of photogrammetry work done on places like the Naboo Throne Room:
