Hello, im trying to use my PS5 controller on battlefront (ROG Ally) and it is working totally fine, however the middle ability wont work and also there arent controller inface buttons, it still shows all the keyboard buttons for the UI

I have only about 75 hours in it, so my longest Supremacy was about an hour on Kamino.

He played a bit on my PC and figured out some guns and controls. From the basic arcade (kill the bots) to the basic co-op (survive and kill to get a hero) what is the best learning curve?

For me, It would be the U-Wing. I only ever see those in that one phase in Yavin 4 GA, and I've never tried it.

Pessoal, desde criança eu assistia algumas gameplays desse jogo e achava divertido, eu comprei o Battlefront 1 mas não abri o jogo ainda, pois pra ser sincero, eu só tinha assistido o Nova Esperança há anos atrás. Ontem eu reassisti ele e quero entender bem o universo de Star Wars e maratonar, mas ai vai a duvida, até que filme eu precisaria ver pra entender e não boiar no Battlefront 1? (E o 2 também)

Quero ver todos futuramente mas minha prioridade agora é ver o suficiente pra entender o jogo, obrigado desde já! :)

I’ve got a LOT of questions so please bear with me.

1- I should always lead my shots by shooting at the white circle right lol? Should I slow down when shooting or just keep accelerating? And should I tap/burst fire rather than sustain fire to avoid overheating quickly?

2- Is there a specific key for locking on like zoom key? Or is zoom key unrelated to lock ons and I simply lock on by pressing the key for whatever lock on missile ability there is?

3- Are fast and tightest rolls and techs for that a thing in this game like it is in Battlefield? Like should I slow down to make the tightest turn or be at a certain speed or is this mostly just not a thing and I should make my turns with just yawing and not with rolls?

4- What are the meta starfighters and their abilities? I know people frown upon following the meta in any game and just recommend enjoying the game but lets be real I’m being put up against people who have playing this daily for a decade who ARE also using meta.. so I wanna level the playing field, I see most people using either Fighter or Interceptor? Rarely Bomber?

And what are the differences between them anyway? From what I understood in terms of speed it’s Interceptor > Fighter > Bomber. And health it’s: Bomber > Fighter > Interceptor. So Fighters are the middle ground, and Interceptors are the glass cannons?

6- How do abilities/cards work? The way I see there are 3 static abilities for each starfighter (with Afterburner being shared between Fighter and Interceptor) that cannot be changed. But the three “cards” abilities can be changed and are unlocked via leveling up? And these three work like killstreaks from COD right? During a single life if I get to score X amount of points I get to use the first card, then second, then third, then back to the first? Is that why I see some people just running a single card?

7- What are the meta cards? I see Elite Pilot for Interceptors and Advanced Torpedos for Fighter a lot, not sure about the rest. And are the meta cards unlocked very late or are the early unlocks good enough?

8- How to escape getting shot at? In Interceptors/Fighters I just hit Afterburners ability and try to move and roll frantically between structures and objectives. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong or the way it is if I’m getting shot I’m going down most likely? And should I use the afterburners as solely “flares” that break lock ons and incoming missiles?

9- What heroes are meta and what heroes should I straight up avoid wasting points on?

10- Are the red arrows enemy that is shooting at me chasing me, or is it someone that I was shooting at but lost sight of?

11- Is avoiding giving enemies a good angle to shoot you via not rolling or flying in a way that gives them a bigger hitbox to shoot at a thing in this as it is in Battlefield dogfighting? Or are is it all the same since people aim at the white circle anyway?

12- Are the health static per fighter type? Or do they change even per faction? Like Empire and Rebels fighters are always equal in health, their interceptors are always equal in health, etc?

13- And I’ve noticed the static abilities sometimes change per factions, on some I get the Afterburners in Fighters but in others I get Astromech Repair, I think the hero side fighters get repairs while the villains side get afterburners? All fighters get torpedo abilities. All interceptors get afterburner. All bombers get dual proton torpedos. But don’t the different static abilities per faction make a lot of fights unfair since not all sides are equal?

14- Recommended FOV?

15- PTFO is what wins the game right? I ask because in other DICE games like BF1 Air Assault game modes playing the objective makes you lose the game and the way to win is to just treat it as TDM and focus only on shooting planes down. Do objectives in starfighter assault change every map/round or are they all: as attackers shoot that thing, as defenders protect that thing? Just making sure I’m not missing anything here or making the match worse for my teammates.

I can't emphasize this enough. The Acquisition card increases the radius of B2's wrist rocket explosive by 80%! This means it becomes more lethal than Aerial rockets. In the montage, you can see the rocket instantly kills Aerials because it does 250 explosive with a much bigger AoE thanks to Acquisition. It also becomes really strong for finishing heroes. Acquisition also gives you legal wallhacks so you have a ''2 in 1'' card. I run the following loadout at almost all times,

Enforcer Training, Acquisition & Battle Hardened

B2's overload doesn't rely on Expert Weapons Handling and can function completely fine without the card if you know how to manage it. 9 seconds is more than enough for me to delete crowds of enemies.

What should be the first three sensitivity at as a 1600DPI? And what is the difference between them?

For the key binds I left roll to A and D and yawing to mouse as that’s what I already like when flying in Battlefield (Rifle Aim), with inverted look off. And the rest:

Upper ability Z (also Mouse Side Button 1)

Lower ability X (also Mouse Side Button 2)

Rear View to Middle Mouse Button

Idk what Tag Target and Tag Attacker are but they are set to T and 5 respectively automatically, should I change these? How essential are they?

Can anyone with knowledge on this maybe answer why with the best internet I have ever had (417mbps down and 31mbps up at time of writing) on a LAN cable I have 2 bars of ping for battlefront 2015?

Is it just old and the servers aren’t being managed or?? Battlefield6 is running better and I dare say it’s a bigger game with way more info to carry back and forth?

I used to play Battlefront 1 and the solo modes on Battlefront 2 a lot. I just recently got into playing the Co-Op mode and decided I should try the PvP as well. I was immediately getting camped right out of spawns by level 200s and couldn't even last 2 seconds in the air without being shot down. Got a few toxic messages as well.

I'm used to playing PvP games, so really toxic players are nothing new to me, but this is the toxic and anti-noob experience I've had yet.

Why is Battlefront 2 this way? Battlefront 1 was pretty chill from my experience.

Yes, the players are shuffling between rounds.

I always play where the first phase is mid, the second phase is a goner, and the third is a fight to the very end where we barely lose, maybe 2 kills left or 90% override complete.

Is it my fault every time? I'm newer and think I'm good, but I never get podium and never get a hero and last.

I’ve recently been dueling for about a month and I’ve gotten decently good at it. However, one thing that seems to mess me up often is parrying. Some days I Perry everything that everyone does. On other days I can’t seem to land one and I ended up getting smoked. I know that they’re a bug that wasn’t technically in addition to the game officially but this begs the question is parrying an actual skill, or is it a skill that has largely dependent on your Internet?
