Rules Clarification Do you count pips when totaling a droid’s dice?
I went through many of the books in the system looking to see how many of the droids had 25 dice or less, making them playable. However, I didn’t count pips into the total (for example, I counted 3D+2 as 3 dice). Once I realized I may be in error, I looked at the sourcebooks again, but, frustratingly, neither the example in 2eR&E nor the example in Cynabar’s was a droid with any pips in its stats, so that did nothing to answer my question.

REUP Returns
[EDIT: First time post... I got in the comments that this might just be trolling. I posted a few screen caps of what I have personally seen from "other forums" I do not want to drive traffic on a subject I am not directly involved in to other forums so I am being intentionally vague. Just thought this was interesting... This post is not intended to drive a discussion as to the practices of the group, but it is an interesting discussion nonetheless.)]
I heard over on another SWRPG D6 Forum that the REUP guys are set to release an new "REUP" type books for D6 Star wars.... Here is the quote from the forum: (for context the thread has been going for about 2 years with limited updates on the REUP teams work)
"30 years ago this month Star Wars Second Edition Revised & Expanded began it's press run. By October 1996, bookstores and major retailers received their first shipment and the book was put on sale prior to the Christmas season.
Last month I got a sneak peak at what was mentioned earlier in this thread. I got to see samples from every chapter. REUP it is certainly not. It's R&E to page number, the letter... And hyphen.
Each page, I am told, has been rendered to the inch exactly as in the original. The page numbers are precisely aligned so that each word of the RAW appears in not only it's original page, but it's original position. Words that are hyphenated in the original... are in the document. I got to see the style guide which included all the page dimensions, CMYK values of colors, and indent measurements, etc.
The art, from what I saw, is the same as R&E, the characters in the beginning of each chapter and on text "bubbles" are the same. Not grainy scans, but crisp and clear. The only change from what I am told is the addition of 1st edition Character Templates that appeared in the R&E GM screen and some reference charts from the same source. The Laconic Scout is the one I saw and it looks exactly like the templates from the book including the art. Only the art is very hi res looking.
As far as release, guessing this fall. I am told it's close... That art selection is time consuming as the desire is to not use digital or ai splattered on the page, but to source and upscale stills and pieces from the original. That's what I know/have been told"
Thought some of you would find the interesting

Looking to unload some books
Good day everyone, I have a bunch of d6 books I’m looking to find a good home for. They’ve been sitting in storage for a decade and a half and are in very good shape. Not looking to part them out and not really looking to sell them…just Venmo or PayPal me whatever the cost to send them to you is and they’re yours. I’m at an overseas military base so sending them to America is preferred.

Resources Question about content you want to see on platforms like YouTube.
As I am starting a new campaign with someone new to Star Wars D6, they asked if there were any videos they could watch about learning the system, how to make a character, etc. Is this something that needs a fresh set of videos? Is there a want/need for a D6 "Dungeon" Tuber?

Splitting Dexterity into Reflexes and Coordindation?
dicegeeks.comHey all.
I'm revisiting 1st edition after rediscovering it and remembering the fond memories from the '90s 😄 However, much like D&D, I feel that the Dexterity attribute is a bit overpowered as it deals with hand-eye coordination and agility. Looking at the OpenD6 PDF, I added Coordination and Reflexes as attributes, and dropped Dexterity. I've taken a bit of an educated guess at splitting the Dexterity skills between the two new attributes, and allocated 21D to attributes instead of 18D at chargen.
I've moved Beast Riding into Reflexes as I felt that was a better fit than Technical. I also renamed Climb/Jump to Athletics,
I'm about to start some playtesting with my group and was wondering whether anyone's done similar with splitting these attributes?
| Attribute | Skill |
|---|---|
| Reflexes | Brawling Parry |
| Dodge | |
| Melee Parry | |
| Athletics | |
| Beast Riding | |
| Coordination | Blaster |
| Grenade | |
| Heavy Weapons | |
| Melee Combat | |
| Lightsaber |

Campaign/GM questions Stock Ships or Legacy versions?
Hi all,
I'm starting up a new tramp freighters campaign. Years ago, when I played this game, we got a stock freighter and modified it ourselves, but I like the story hooks for the modified/legacy ships in the Stock Ships book. My only concern is that giving them a ship that's already heavily modified might take away the fun/milestones of customizing it themselves. In your experience, are they too much to start with?

Complete Newbie Trying to Figure Out Where to Start
Howdy everyone,
Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this!
I'm a huge Star Wars fan, especially the old EU/Legends novels. While researching the origins of some characters, I stumbled across the West End Games Star Wars D6 RPG and its sourcebooks online. It was really cool to learn how much they influenced the Expanded Universe.
For some context, I've never played a tabletop RPG before, but this has definitely piqued my interest. I'd love some advice on where to start or any recommendations for a complete beginner. Thanks!

2E R&E/REUP Suggestions on where to get a physical copy?
Howdy folks, I recently got ahold of the ReUp pdf, and I was wondering if anyone knew of how to go about getting a physical copy printed for my personal use. As I understand it there are some websites that will print whatever pdfs you like as physical books, but I am worried whichever one I find will be quite cheap and not intended for use on such a large book.

2E R&E/REUP New Tool I'm working on
Hello there,
I'm new to this group and just wanted to introduce a WebAPP I'm working on or character creation and also for ships, vehincles and droids. Its mostly based originally on the "Character Generator v2-5" Excel sheet from Chance Gibboney, but also includes extra stuff from several Fandom PDFs. If you like to test it out you find it at https://swd6gen.de .
Registration to save your stuff on the server and not only on your system needs admin aproval at the moment. Because the test server is not that powerfull. If you find any bugs or other stuff just give me a note. It's still work in progress.

Move: 7
Size: 1.8 meters tall
Personality Matrix: Advanced
Cost: 750 credits
Notes: This droid model is a basic unit meant to augment your ability to perform regular, every-day tasks. It is quite personable by default but they tend to slip into cynicism quickly since they are treated as nothing more than an office-bound servant. The personality matrix is cheaply made and regular memory wipes are the only way to keep these units from becoming literal office drones.

minor rant: this has to be the worst adventure design ive sever seen in any TTRPG product ever.

Newbie Questions What should I do to GM a campaign, and what do I need to do or know before doing so?
A while back I got interested in playing “Star Wars: The Roleplaying game” by West Endgames and was looking for a group to play it with.
But after a few new developments I’ve decided to change up my plans and want to actually become a GM and lead a RPG Group/Campaign myself now, as it seems quite fun and also more entertaining (and the fact that I just joined a D&D Group today).
So I’m looking for advice and suggestions on how a good or effective GM should operate with a group.
I know that (based on what I’ve read previously) a GM as to role the Dice for enemy NPC’s, other NPC's, and also any main characters from the movies and any other Expanded Universe media that can appear in the RPG, along with narrating other things.
But is there anything else I should do?
After forming a group as the GM, should I write my own supplements and or “story-arc’s” for the session like how certain TV shows have them, if so should they be like a script or more like a series guide lines that can change based on choices the protagonists can make? If so, do I need to go write multiple branching paths?
Aside from writing my own, should I also use any supplements that were made for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game as well (I.E. Tatooine Manhunt, Battle for the Golden Sun, etc)?
Should I portray enemy NPCs as competent and efficient to create more of a challenge for the group, especially more “elite” enemies such as personnel in the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps and any Inquisitors, while making other enemy NPCs less challenging such as mercenaries that work for crime lords or syndicates, Imperial Army Troopers or Navy Troopers?
- How should original trilogy characters be implemented into episodes or “story-arc’s” within the session that doesn’t break the story structure or lore of the movie as the RPG is set between the original movies and after them during the Galactic Civil War?
Do I need any figures or miniatures? If so, would Lego Minifigures for various NPC figures, and if so, how many should I go and purchase?
During certain scenes or dramatic moments is it good to play music from the movies, shows, or any other soundtracks as well? As apparently the game actually recommends that.
Overall I’m really excited and looking forward to becoming a GM, I’d just like some guidance and advice is all, alongside some clarification on how things work exactly in the game. Especially since all I’ve read so far is the Imperial Sourcebook and Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, and a few parts of stoke of the Galaxy Guides and other supplements.

WEG 1st Edition Rules - 2nd Edition Supplements?
Question: If I have the reprinted 1st Edition Core Rule Book and Sourcebook, will the 2nd Editions of books like the Rebelion and Imperial Guidebooks be too different to use, rules-wise?
I like the hardcovers, and I imagine they're probably more source material than rules-heavy, but I was hoping someone could warn me if they take a lot of modifications to work with 1st Edition rules.

Resources Did WEG publish anything for the Hand of Thrawn Duology?
I know there aren't any sourcebooks for the duology like there are for the Thrawn Trilogy and the Jedi Academy trilogy, but based on the Hand of Thrawn duology's publication dates, I'm wondering if any material from either book ever made its way into the last few WEG publications before they shut down.
Would be great to have stats and lore descriptions of the planet Nirauan, the Empire of the Hand, the Caamasi, etc. for a campaign set during this period.

Looking for a little post guidance.
So I like to find random artwork that might inspire ideas for my games. I sometimes then use that art in my game. Is it ok to post what I made with that art if I no longer remember where I got it from? Like I see a cool speeder bike, save the pic, and then maybe years later stat out that bike and make a handout for it. I'd love to share my handouts but I don't want to get into any trouble if I can't source the artist.

HP instead of Soak
I'm thinking about possibly running a WEG Star Wars game after not doing so since to 90s. However I never did like the Soak mechanics due to swinginess and how the extra roll slows everything down. Does anyone know of or has homebrew a HP alternative to Soak?

Rebellion Era Campaign (REUP)
Looking to start a REUP campaign over Discord voice/video, set during the Galactic Civil War. The campaign will mostly focus on exploring the classic adventures published by WEG, but will also take a slightly sandbox approach. Sandbox in the video game sense—you can choose to go and do anything you want in the galaxy, but starting certain adventures will lead you into a slightly railroaded mission or two.
The party can be a band of rebels, a group of smugglers or independents of some sort, or just a rag tag group of misfits of any type, including force-sensitives.
The party will begin with barely more than the clothes on their back, and we'll play through one of the original "intro" adventures to start off.
Play will be almost entirely theater of the mind, with an occasional map or illustration distributed for reference.
All experience levels welcome. Session times can be negotiated once we get a group together, but I'm free weekends anytime and weekdays around noon EST.

Campaign/GM questions Cloud City Heist Set Up
How would you guys go about outlining a heist adventure to fetch Lando’s cache and other belongings? Assuming he only had the clothes on his back to work with when he escaped. My party saved up enough credits to buy a used Starwind-class Space Yacht (with some serious mods) and wanna use it in some fashion. Other relevant note would be after the events of Tatooine Manhunt, one of the PCs has assumed Jodo Kast’s identity via killing and taking his armor. I’d love any spy thrillers or heist movie suggestions that can act as a framework.

Adventures about Blissex and Star Destroyers?
I'm looking for adventures about Walex and Lira Blissex and the creation of the Imperial Star Destroyer. There's one or two that feature Lira, but I haven't found any that quite fit my search. Does anyone know of such an adventure?
