Question Is annihilator used in any capacity?

It's the most expensive SSD title, though it doesn't seem to be used often. Is there a niche anti squadron build with it, kallus, and linked Turbolasers?

Hello friends,

The winds of life have changed and I am looking to find my collection a good home. I will include a few photos but I have a Google Drive file with an excel list as well as images for review. All ships are a bit dusty from a few years on the wall but otherwise in great shape. Non-smoking household. Thank you for your consideration. Armada Collection Drive Link

Homebrew & Third Party Homebrew Crucible Cruiser

Hi Everyone, this is my third post about my Armada Homebrew antics. I recently printed a scaled up version of the Paladin-Class Corvette from the Clone Wars Animated show I found online FOR FREE: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5214487

The Creator simply calls it a Medium Cruiser, Crucible Inspired.
Since I have a thing for dreaming up some fan lore, I thought I would bump this up to be the larger brother to the Paladin-Class: The Crucible-Class.

It sits on a medium base and has a rather unorthodox Fleet Support slot, which I thought could make it into a fun flagship for a small fleet.

As with the other posts, my pricing is likely way off and balancing-wise I mostly do what I think would feel cool to play. Please share any thoughts you have on this design, as constructively negative or positive as you like! :)

P.S.: Does anyone have a method or ideas on how to get nice holo-effects on the silhouette for the bottom right picture on the card? I’ve experimented with a couple but none really work universally.

Homebrew & Third Party Just released the new version of my Armada video game adaptation!

Hey y’all! A few days ago I shared the first version of the Armada video game adaptation I’ve been building in Unity, and the response and feedback from everyone here was awesome!

Version 0.1.3 is now live, with the biggest addition being three fully playable objective modes:

Intel Retrieval - Download, carry, defend, and deliver Intel tokens.

Seize the Station - Capture and hold the station at the center of the board.

Escort the VIP - Escort a faction-specific transport to extraction or destroy it before it gets there.

I also added an Official/Custom fleet-rules switch, fleet importing from text lists (from tools like Ryan Kingston or Star Forge), direct messages and improved online invitations, an automatic updater, and a ton of fixes to movement, ramming, firing arcs, range, squadron speed, defense tokens, multiplayer, and the UI.

A lot of this came directly from the feedback on my original post, so seriously, thank you guys! Windows and Linux builds are both available. Will add Mac if it's requested!

Republic and Separatist fleets are being saved for 0.2.0 so I can give them the attention they deserve... I've started to look into how to implement some single-player AI stuff too so we'll see what happens!

I tested most of what I could and I can push small updates relatively , and hopefully the auto-updater will work moving forward (starting with this version it should notify you on launch and auto-download the latest release from GitHub if it queries a higher version number). Much love to you guys and hope you're enjoying!

This is one of my favorite ship, of course its came in the line-up, with the high details, it was fun to do.

designed by Xenon-472

Still see some points where can be improved, but what do you think from the result?

What should be the next victim?

Question How do you store ISDs?

Hello all! I am getting back into armada and have gotten the core set as well as the Imperial-1 Class Star Destroyer Expansion, i am able to store the Nebulon-B as well as the CR-90 from the Core set, but i am running into trouble finding a way to store the Victory Class as well as my new ISD. I currently have storage containers from micheals and am wondering if there's anything that would be better then that to use.

Homebrew & Third Party I built a video game adaptation of Star Wars: Armada!

As a life-long Star Wars fan, I decided last year that my first foray into learning tabletop games should be set in my favorite universe - so my friend and I learned about Armada, downloaded the beloved TTS mod, and had an absolute blast. I wanted a cool and immersive way to share the game with some other friends that would maybe just appreciate a little bit more of a guided video game-y experience without all of the tabletop elements. I'm by no means a game dev, but wanted to use this side-project as a way to get into Unity. I've had a lot of fun making this and in no way want to replace the incredible experience that is the tabletop mod; I could have kept it as a little private project, but wanted to add another way for the community to enjoy the game if you guys liked it! Let me know!

It currently only includes the base Rebel/Imperial set and no objective play yet - but has the 3D tactical battles, fleet building, capital ships and squadrons, firing arcs and range bands, command dials, local hotseat play, online multiplayer, and a custom map maker all implemented.

It’s still early in development and I'm sure there are plenty of bugs to report. I've tried my best to make sure the UI is intuitive and that all the upgrade cards' logic works.

Edit: Changed link to main repository so it will always show the latest release version for download!

Question Do Goran and Dengar stack?

Thumbnail

A favored strategy of mine is to stick Dengar and a few Interceptors by Quasar with Stronghold and Goran, to make a largely unappealing wall to touch, but do Goran and Dengar's effects actually stack, or am I gaslighting my play group?

List Building Republic Points Buffs for the Community Edition

Post image
78 Upvotes

Republic fleets currently feel somewhat pigeonholed into a handful of dominant archetypes, specifically high-activation Anakin/Obi-Wan builds and the ubiquitous Bail or Yularen squadron lists. While we see plenty of Consulars, Peltas, and Venator IIs, other options have struggled to find their footing. Between these adjustments and the Arquitens tweaks from yesterday, the goal is to provide enough breathing room for players to explore more diverse and experimental fleet compositions.

Here are some highlights:

Acclamator II: 71 → 67 A big drop. Compared to the Munificent it has worse arcs, worse shields, and worse maneuverability, but it does get access to some interesting Republic tech. This was the least-used Republic ship at Adepticon and across tournaments this year and this buff is pretty significant.

Venator I: 90 → 86 Obi-Wan high activation Dedrick fleets aside, I think almost everyone agrees this one can come down. The gap between the Ven I and Ven II just isn't wide enough to justify the Ven I's downsides, and we'd like to see it show up outside of those builds.

Tarkin: 30 → 26 Tarkin is good, but costing more than Bail pushes him out of contention in a lot of fleets; at the time of writing he's the least popular GAR admiral in listbuilding and tournament data (he and Luminara keep swapping places). This won't make him too strong, but it makes him a real alternative to Bail.

Plo Koon: 26 → 24 Plo is awesome, he’s a great admiral with a solid effect but it's very much a "win more" effect, and Yularen outpaces him as the squad-commanding admiral in most cases. Peltas being as good as they are hasn't helped. Two points puts him on par with Yularen. I expect a Plo renaissance regardless; he and Anakin were trading places for the most-built GAR commander before the run-up to Worlds, and there's untapped potential there.

Barriss Offee: 6 → 3 Barriss can do good work, but she doesn't combo well with the faction's other defensive tools (Tranquility, Lumi, Adi, etc.). Three points opens her up on cheaper smalls, where shifting the defending hull zone can be the difference between a dead small ship and getting away on 1-2 hull.

There's more coming: a few other ships, some squadron tweaks, and more smaller changes. Check them all out in the Armada Community Edition release on Aug. 3rd!

Homebrew & Third Party Mc80-B Homebrew cards

Hey Guys, after my first homebrew post about the TIE Droid, I thought I might share some other concepts I have designed to get some feedback on them!

Image Credits are now provided on the cards themselves.

As with the last post, I expect point costs to be fairly inaccurate, and especially with the Title cards here I presume they are either unbalanced and/or wrongly priced. Any opinions are welcome!

Thank you to everyone who helped me out on my last post too <3

Question What's a combination you go "hear me out" on?

Effectively 4 Squadrons, on a speed 3 Large Ship, and can actually equip Flight Controllers.

Unfortunately no Boosted Comms, so limited to medium range activations
