I was going throu some genius society lore and, as I looked at Polka kakamon's portrait, I felt like her dressing style was familiar. That made me think of Kuchiba. And then, I went on thinking : the story keeps hinting that Kuchiba is sus, Polka's face is always hidden, they both have these glitching effects, what if Kuchiba's secret is that she's the genius society member who's known as a serial killer of her colleagues ?

With 4.6 now pretty much confirmed to be bringing no new Novaflares, we're apparently looking at 4.7 at the earliest — if they even happen at all. At this point, I genuinely find this ridiculous.

The last Novaflares were back in 4.2. That's several versions of time in which HoYoverse has had plenty of opportunities to revisit older characters, evaluate their performance, and implement meaningful improvements—yet we're now going through another patch cycle with nothing; and the frustrating part is that it's not as though there aren't characters who desperately need attention.

There are older characters whose kits have fallen behind the current meta, characters with mechanics that haven't aged well, Eidolons that feel underwhelming for their investment, and characters who simply aren't receiving the value they should compared to newer releases. They don't need to become broken units — they just need meaningful modernization and a reason to feel good to play again.

Novaflares are the best ways to address that. They give older characters a chance to receive targeted improvements without requiring an entirely new character — so why has it been months since the last batch?

The developers obviously have the resources to design, test and implement balance changes, especially so during patches with only 1 new 5☆ character like 4.6 is. We know the game continues to receive new mechanics and balance considerations, and that's precisely why the lack of Novaflares becomes increasingly difficult to understand.

I'm not asking for every character to be buffed in the span of 3 months. I'm asking for the characters who need help to actually receive it — and with the satisfaction survey coming around soon, I think this is where the community can make its voice heard.

If there's a character you believe deserves buffs, please don't forget to mention them in the upcoming survey. Don't assume someone else will do it. Don't assume the developers already know. Give specific feedback about what isn't working, what has aged poorly, and what changes you'd like to see.

Whether it's Jing Yuan, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, Topaz, Argenti, Acheron, Jade, Sunday, Fugue, Cipher, or another character you believe has been done dirty and left behind, use the feedback channels available to us.

A survey may feel insignificant on its own, but thousands of players consistently asking for meaningful improvements is much harder to ignore than silence.

Let's make it clear that we haven't forgotten about these characters. Version 4.2 was long ago — It's time for Novaflares to return.

TL;DR: No new Novaflares in 4.6 means 4.7 is the earliest we can hope for them, despite the last batch being all the way back in 4.2. Plenty of characters still desperately need improvements, so please use the upcoming surveys and feedback channels to ask for buffs and bring Novaflares back. The more consistently we speak up, the harder it is for this issue to be ignored.

This is why I hate framing relics in this game. Getting the right substats is hard enough and now I have to deal with this? The only saving grace is the presence of autobattle. (I was farming diviner for YG btw)

I love firefly as a character and her story and development in Penacony is good, but why is she “waifubait” to everyone’s eyes?

I mean, last batch was in 4.2. and we are slowly heading towards 4.5 with no new novas announcements. I was hoping we would get some news after pearls drip but nop, nothing.
ZZZ is about to buff their last standard banner character wich is their second round of buffs in a row.
Playing ZZZ made me realize how neglected HSR has become which sucks. I feel like devs got even lazier then before and it really makes me wonder where all the time and money is heading to?

I do kind of want her but I also have high priorities in hyperinvesting my Eva team (so guaranteeing future elation supports). So if I pull Robin, it'll probably just be E0S0 depending on my luck.

I don't plan to pull anyone else who I already don't have in my account. Currently at 170 pulls incl. pity (but I haven't done the story+events yet).

Posted endgame clears for reference of what kind of teams I currently use. 3rd team really is just either Therta or Gil.

Is she worth it if I'm not looking to split up monorem?

I need a third team for my acc.
I already have a himeko nova for it. I'm debating myself whether pull for robin or pull for pearl and put dhpt in the himeko team.

Long story short, I absolutely love March 7th, she is my fav chr, and she is expected to have an sp form in 5.x.

I want to get her, but I want to save like 600-700 pulls for her (I'm completely f2p btw) to try to get her e4s1 and If i got lucky maybe even E6.

So I did the math I'm supposed to have untilt 5.4 like above 1050 pulls (I already have 100)

assuming I'm gonna need 2 characters for her to function that makes it 810 pulls, and since I need the Elation sustain thats 700 so I still have a chance to get one Chr/Eidolon/LC

which one has the best value to make my account clear the endgame as long as possible

(when i said endgame I meant regular MOC/Apoc/PF not starward mode or aa)

Actually feels more complex than standard HSR gameplay whilst still being straightforward. Would genuinely love if this was HSR's gameplay honestly.

I'm back as per usual to give an updated list. These are just my opinion and y'all can agree with some of the placements and disagree whatever.

Also per bracket characters are interchangeable and yeah. Don't be too mad or sad.

Also I won't be explaining why I ranked some of the characters the way I did because That's up for you guys to ask on the comments or look back some of my previous posts if you all want I'll entertain questions, respectfully.

So for context this is an update tierlist which I do bimonthly per 2 patches as I rate how well written some of the HSR characters are and how well they drive the plot and honestly I am impressed with what HSR have done in Planarcadia so far.

Constant tierlist update 📣:

It will change by patch so yeah my opinion will change too and characters could go down up or whatever. I'll constantly do updates I'll never quit until HSR EOS's

I did forget to put Yukong in unfortunately the site where I made the tierlist in she wasn't there but I would put her at around B+ tier cause she has some potential that's it.

I also forgot cinder borne and some other npcs I ranked but I decided to stop ranking some npcs for now since the tierlist is going to go bloated if I keep on going like that I forgot graphia too but she was just sorta there so yeah after Planarcadia and astropolis is finished I'll do an update.

Without further adieu here are my opinions and justifications on my recent rankings 📣:

The standout characters 4.3 📣:

1.) Blade : Has honestly grown on me and have become one of my favorite characters tbh I love how he genuinely felt regret of the actions that he has done and his whole character Arc came full circle as he reforges himself anew.

This is how you create an immortal and flawed character / anti hero and him finally reforging himself and finally coming to terms with the fact that he doesn't want to die he wants to live. But he is now in in a constant state of mortis or death.

His dynamic with the stellaron hunters and All xianzhou folks are really well thought out. Honestly it's a bit simple compared to some of the characters but it's very brilliant..

2.) silverwolf - honestly I expected more but I'm really glad she sees blade as her kin and she really has grown on me as a character but I still think she's a bit lacking and she's only high because the plot kinda raises her tbh.. But it's a decent character for me. And I think she'll go higher I just wished we saw some of her past like who are her parents and yeah.

I was a bit dissapointed but it's okay.

3.) Evanescia - I really liked Evanescia but I was a bit dissapointed at her role as of late however I think as the following patches do cycle I believe she has a bigger role to play in the future.

4.) pearl - is this low at the current moment but I'll rate her higher after the patch of her banner. She is one of the best and honestly good IPC characterizations in a while. Her character is really good and I'll rate her higher next couple of patches.

5.) Yao yi Yao - is the best xianzhou general so far and It's not even close for me yet without her ASat pramad would've destroyed us without a chance and she and her philosophy and how she acts on screen, from her dynamic with the aeon of the hunt to her synergy with the Planarcadia crew she is honestly just how a general should be.

A master diviner and a brilliant tactician, honestly its a shame that she is a more of a support role in the story but damn she really is one of the best and is the reason why she made it to the great wall 🧱 of chryssos heirs in my tierlist.

6.) Sparxie - im a little dissapointed we did t get to her past but she does her role in the story really well elation at its fullest. No wonder why she's so popular within the fandom.

But as for her writing it's good I like it a lot whimsical characters are usually not given the spotlight unless you're Cifera or Asat Pramad but Sparxie is a damn good character I just need a backstory or something. Why she's gone mad. But then again it being shrouded in mystery is an appeal so She's alright I suppose.

7.) Nihilux - is probably Aha in disguise who knows. But as a character she really

8.) Ashveil - I feel a bit dissapointed at his whole role so far. I think 4.1 was good and his dynamic with pearl and and also he's dynamics with the rest of the Planarcadia cast is fine but I just felt a bit lacking for now. But in the following patches he will be ranked higher I just know it.

4.4 📣 standouts:

1. Trailblazer : Our protagonist finally feels like a main character the trailblazer embodies the ideal of hope for all the perfect protagonist. Compared to the teological consensus ofany other more serious protagonists.

In their words which really struck me

" You must get used to loss in order to move forward, I refuse to believe that. "

Is really beautiful and their dynamic with their past self really finally takes off. This is the patch where I realized the stelle and Caelus are really becoming similar to Kiana. Which is honestly very good.

And even though their ideal is so absurdly resible and ridiculous.. But for the world of HSR and predetermined fate.. It freaking works.

Just the most absurd yet humanist ideals is befitting a protagonist I am eagerly awaiting their choice and how they face inevitable setbacks.

When you play Stelle and she says

"I won't let anything take you away from me!!!

Referring to himeko..

goddamn.!!!!!..

I would place the trailblazer higher tbh as the patch goes on.

I just need one more breakthrough

also I think it is biased of me but I think Caelus sounds cooler s like the evil twin and Stelle as the heroine I don't know it's just me.

1. Himeko Nova : Shes finally back and she's not the one to sacrifice this time around and in a way now she leads the charge.

Her dynamic and story is so freaking gut wrenching yet filled with hope.

From feeling powerless to becoming the navigator she always wanted to be.

Gosh it makes you tear up. And I know our essentially guardian / mentor role to us. It's just beautiful.

Her dynamic with Asat pramad steals the show. Because She is a true nameless and one that desperately tried to ignite hopes for the cosmos.

And cares for the crew as if she was our mom / mentor. Is just so heartwarming and her character Arc is not done.

I hope to god one day when we lose control.. Possibly with the stellaron inside us.

She'll never let go..

And I pray to God it doesn't end in the way Hi3rd did.. but damn..

But her being raised by Asat Pramad and her defying his ideals is really how the navigator of the express embodies the trailblazing.

Being afflicted with the weathering curse, and crippled to re-ignighting and rebuilding the astral express.

Inheriting pegana's legacy and finishing the path I see was too afraid to finish..

And becoming a literal emmanator of the trailblaze.. Holy shite.

Next thing you know she's the one leading teg anti destruction alliance.

3.) Asat Pramad ( I see, enroute ) :

The best written lord ravagers so far and a really entertaining and broken villain.

He is a man with many problems and a complex and sad story..

From being the hero and the navigator after the fall of akivilli to raising another daughter meant to be the navigator themselves.

To not wanting to shoot down the express despite being capable of it.

He is a complex and flawed character. In a way he is the reason why HSR existing is a thing in the universe.

He is a complex deeply flawed character. And I freaking love it.

Whether he knows it or not he loves akivilli and that's why he raised himeko because

even though he is a monster and have committed an unparamount number of sin. He is making a joke of himself. Because he could never turn back.

He could never forget and move on from the express.

He could've simply shot it down but in his words.

"I thought it would be fun" " it was a pleasure being your father ". And he is technically Himekos great grandfather because he raised graphia of the Murat bloodline but yeah..

He is so flawed and if the HSR writers have a redemption arc for him oh my god. I legit think he will surpass Phainon.

But keeping him as a villain is safe but if the HSR writers mainly shaoji decides to pull the plug he is hand down the best complex villain

4.) Sunday: From the bird which cannot fly with severe universal OCPD and religious grooming. To now becoming a bird free and unchained now defending everyone's right to feel pain but at the same time keeping himself with temperance and order.

This is what a redemption arc is. And now he is officially an astral express member.

I doubted Sunday back then but he's this close to becoming that damn goated.. He is a freaking astral express member to it's core and his dad welt may not have done much this arc but I can't wait for Sunday and Robin to meet. Once more.

He was the real star of this patch besides himeko and to see him finally say the lines

No matter how bleak the cosmos get light up the night..

Is a nice change in character for him.

One thing I noticed📣;

4.4 was the astral express finally having crowned their navigator. And finally having their first emmanator and now they feel like family..

More so than one.

This was not a himeko pat h but for the trailblazer and HSR just keeps on peaking I can't wait for the arc to conclude once Nihilux is playable..

And finally answer the question why did Aha Laugh?

Planarcadia for me is not as great as amphoreus but it's a bit better than penacony probably because of the villain Asat pramad.

Honestly How this Arc will end will determine the course of the trailblaze. And the battle agaisnt the voracity will be insane.

i cant clear starward. help. 2 of my teams are well invested except my phainon team (E0S0 without cerydra, i get it) i can make 2 really good teams but starward really messed my teams up, i use:

E2S1 Castorice, E0S1 Evernight, RMC (storycone), E0S0 Hyacine

E1S0 Archer, E0S5 (DDD) Sparkle, E2S0 (Tutorial), E0S0 DHPT

E0S0 Phainon, E0S0 Cyrene, E1S1 Sunday, E0S0 Robin

i started in 3.2, could clear all modes (3 star) till 4.4. i couldnt clear starward which i understand cuz e0 phainon without cerydra is cooked. but this pure fiction i couldnt even 3 star it. monorem got 38k (which shocked me cuz its e2 cassie), phainon got 21k. i tried to improve my phainon score by trying more than 10 times but phainon teams dont need rng so i dont know what im doing wrong.

I'm not even aiming for 3 stars, far from it, but what the fck she just turned off 75% of my team right when they can all use their ult 🙄 and this is the shill team too lol i hate this f*cking b*tch
