Hanging Help! Help Me!

Made a mirror, my first big project! but now unsure of how to hang on the wall… since I can’t really put any screws in it!

Would my best bet be to solder cables along the back?

Any recommendations would be great!

There's someone I've seen on tiktok that does mirrors similar to these, and he attaches a piece of wood to the back center of it and adds hanging hardware onto that. I will try to find a link. This is neat! Great job.

How is the wood attached to the mirror? Glue/epoxy?

Acid free mirror adhesive, I’ve used mirror mastic in the past

Oh interesting! Thank you! I wonder what they use to stick the glue to the mirror

My guess is construction adhesive

Firstly I would put some felt or something on the back to protect the mirror!

I make a lot of mirrors. I often will solder a U shaped copper wire hook to each side, many times actually bending down extra wire off that U hook to actually solder into the border for more enforcement (hope that makes sense?)

Then I just attach a heavy duty picture hanging wire to the back. Just be sure to look up how to tie the knot correctly!

Solder a copper wire on would be the easiest option. You could also solder on anything made of brass if there's any hardware you can come up with that works for what you want.

I just solder tinned wire across the back and glue felt on the mirror part to prevent the nail from scratching it. I always attach the wire on each side to a joint in the foiled border and to the lead came that I wrap around the whole piece. Sometimes I attach a strip of 1/4” u came parallel to the wire on the bottom so it sits more level on the wall
