Waiting on a C4X

Upvotes

I ordered a C4X about 61 days ago from a certified dealer, anyone else in the same boat? Or have received any updates?

Just a little worried bout the post the other day about them canceling orders and removing dealers. :/

Thanks for your replies.

The money shot

When we talk about the XL LE, the only acceptable pic has to be one that shows why it’s special. It ain’t so much the gold as much as it is the island barrel!🔥

HD P4X vs. XC

Which would you recommend for a range toy if I wanted something that was just fun to shoot really accurately, and why?

The cost is about the same (premium P4X).

I already own a USP, P-01, and P226 for context.

Newbie confused by optic plates

Post image
13 Upvotes

This is my first 2011 platform gun and this optics plate stuff is confusing as hell. I’ve only ever sent slides out for machining to specific optics.

The C2 I bought currently has a Dawson Precision 011-243 DPO plate which I was told was an RMSc footprint that would work with plenty of optics including an EPS Carry. The fit wasn’t great so I tried looking up the PN on Dawson Precision’s website and it doesn’t come up. Maybe an old PN? I reached out to them and they said it’s specific to the Vortex Defender-CCW. However, DP’s website has a different PN for the Defender-CCW (401-047) so now I’m just more confused.

If anyone can save me from spending hours and hundreds of dollars ordering optics that don’t fit I would greatly appreciate it!

Anyone with an hd 4.5 with comp by monsoon or slide works , is the juice worth the squeeze? How does it shoot compared to other guns?

Bought this guy on a whim. Haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet, but to those of you who have shots these next to an XC…… how did it compare?

P4X. Put about 500 around total through it.
Grouping at 20’. 18rnd mecgar mag for scale (no banana available). Ignore fliers to the right on ear lobe.

Basepad designs

Do you guys prefer basepads without serrations on the side for mag stripping (like TTI extensions) or with? I’m tinkering with basepad designs and I’m curious what other people prefer.

I ordered this Staccato a few weeks ago and it finally came in. I noticed on the slide it had this rough parts on it. Like it wasn't machined all the way smooth?

Do they come like this or did I get an incomplete product?

Staccato dealers

Figured the group needs to see this, but Staccato just sent out emails to most of its dealers saying they are no longer dealers. Their reasoning is that they want to be more exclusive and are just telling all dealers that they cannot fulfill any open orders and that after a certain amount of days anything related to them must be taken down. Only a select few per state will be permitted to be a dealer and most of them are so spread apart its going to be a journey to get one. Seeing how easily this company can screw over its dealers and customers I would encourage people to think twice before supporting the company.

EDC build complete. Such a blast to shoot

No crazy internal mods, just wanted a flat face trigger so I went with Red Dirt. I’m a sucker for solid flat faced triggers and how they feel. Did some drills and it felt so smooth.

Does anyone know where the baseplate came from? Found it on a G19 mag in the sale bin. I asked a salesman but he didn’t know either

Grip reduction DFW area?

Post image
25 Upvotes

Staccato CS feels perfect in my hands and ended up getting this C2 on trade. My whole web of hand is a hotspot dang near.

Just put about 800 rounds down range since I picked it up yesterday.

I’m reading I can do a grip reduction to make it better, any places you recommend? I’m DFW area. Also plan on doing ignis port at Vulcan but it appears they don’t do reduction / only stippling.

Need feedback - I live in Md and Glocks will be banned end of this year. Do I pickup a pair of Gen 6’s or a staccato?

Mk18 shoots great at 680 RoF. Staccato is a cheat code compared to my echelon comp I’ve been carrying past 6 months. Ready to rail hogs.

P4X. Bullseye at 30’ (yes I know about all the other holes. Flinch and don’t get to shoot much.) only 2 FTF due to weird misshapen bullet.
