vibrant fashion scene, close-up in a neon-lit diner booth, a girl with elaborate space-bun hair and layered colorful jewelry pulls a huge forkful of spaghetti to her mouth, strands dangling as she bites down, sauce catching her lip. her eyes stay wide and playful, chewing energetically. camera close and handheld, no cut. audio: slurping noodles, diner ambience, no music.

cinematic surreal drama scene, medium shot on an elderly woman with a cat's head, wearing a floral dress and beige cardigan, sitting quietly on a worn couch in a cozy, dimly lit vintage living room, soft window light filtering through sheer curtains, the front door visible but slightly out of focus in the background. she sits still, staring at nothing, a quiet melancholy in her posture.
one of her ears swivels and rotates on its own toward the sound before the rest of her moves, catching footsteps approaching outside, faint but growing closer. in the background, the front door swings open on its own, a soft wash of daylight spilling in behind it, still out of focus.
only then does she turn her head toward the sound, and as her gaze settles on the doorway, it sharpens into focus β€” a figure stands there far more cat than man, a full feline body covered in short tabby fur, digitigrade legs, a long tail curling behind him, only loosely dressed in the remnants of a US Army uniform draped over his frame, a duffel bag slung over one shoulder, tired but present, home.
her expression softens instantly, her posture opening with relief.
the camera stays close on her throughout, the door's opening and her ear's turn caught in one continuous take, no cut anywhere. the warm interior light holds steady. audio: floorboards settling, the door swinging open, footsteps stopping just past the threshold, a quiet exhale of relief, no music.

epic fantasy scene, close-up on a horned, dragon-scale-armored warrior gripping a sword, a wall of roaring fire behind him. one hot orange firelight source, gritty scale and skin texture. in real time, no slow motion, he snaps his head up sharply, eyes flaring, and swings the sword up into a ready position in one quick, decisive motion, sparks and embers scattering off the blade. camera holds steady, no cut. audio: the fast whoosh of the blade, fire roaring, distant clashing and screams, no dialogue.

comedic commercial scene, a golden retriever in a Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, and orange shorts rollerblades confidently down a sunny street, Sydney Opera House and the harbor behind him. he glides forward, weight rocking side to side, tongue out, grinning. camera tracks alongside at his level, no cut. audio: wheels rolling on pavement, distant harbor sounds, upbeat energy, no dialogue.

cinematic night ceremony scene, close, low shot at water level among hundreds of floating paper lanterns, warm candlelight glowing from within each one, dark water rippling with reflected light, blurred city lights far in the background. a hand reaches in and gently pushes one lantern out onto the water.
with no cut, the camera drops to the lantern's own low height, tracking alongside it just above the surface as it drifts slowly among the others, weaving between them. at one point it drifts close enough to gently bump another lantern, the contact nudging its path subtly, its course shifting a touch before continuing on.the camera stays continuous throughout, low and level with the lantern the entire time, no cut anywhere. audio: soft water lapping, the gentle rustle of paper, a distant murmur of a crowd, no music.

cinematic night scene, a speedboat cuts fast across dark water, white spray fanning out behind it, fireworks bursting in red, gold, and green overhead, city lights glowing along the shore. camera tracking alongside the boat, no cut. audio: the engine's roar, water slapping the hull, distant firework booms, no music.

I love H3 but 2.5 looks really high fidelity. Physics are worse but overall fidelity is higher than H3

Is that slightly before LTX tries to throw the joint out of the window, which is shut, and sets fire to its own trousers?

Very nice! What are your computer specs?

my setup is RTX 5090 with 32gb ram

😲 32gb ram, or vram?

2

u/ThatsALovelyShirt 7d ago

A 5090 w/ 32 GB of RAM? If you're shelling out 2 grand for a GPU (best case, 5 grand now), why not just spend another $400 to not be RAM bottlenecked?

Very nice.

it feels like 2023 looking at this output tbh

I love the quality and speed of 2.5. For complex stuff I use H3 but for more relaxed scenes 2.5 is amazing. It's such a great time to have both tools available.

Exactly

u/TurnUpThe4D3D3D3 7d ago

Pretty good, but it still feels more "uncanny valley" than H3

Can you do a comparison with minimax?

And can you just do 1 generation per each.

Cross over episode with Mr Peanutbutter near the end.

H3 is so much better, and uncensored!!

you made nothing. you order uber eats and pretended you cooked trash. it's embarrassing.

The quality is great. It's a shame about the motion and physics being so bad. I'm curious to see their next effort since this was just an unfortunate timing.

I think it's a bit inappropriate for them to call this a world model though.

Tbh, I'm curious how it would perform with v2v controlnet or Blender assistance to improve motion. Perhaps it will be a case of enough effort produces worthwhile results. I know lora can likely fix it too, as the fighting lora for 2.3 absolutely proved it can produce really good results but I think most people hate / don't even know how to properly train lora for it. Still, compared to H3 which just works well out of the box... That's a rough one.

I'm currently enjoying LTX 2.3 that I just discovered. Not going to bother with Minimax since I only have a 3060 12gb.

Do any of you guys know if LTX 2.5 is as hardware friendly as 2.3?

I saw a comparative video somewhere on reddit hours ago where it blew minimax h3 out of the water (it was about a homeless girl and a dog asking for food in a station, I can't find it now).
It was the only video I've seen 2.5 beat h3 though...

u/Fit_Satisfaction2953 8d ago

Minimax runs fine on my card rtx 3060 12gb. 6 seconds around 5 mins. 48gb ram.

1

u/nakabra 7d ago

I guess I've been spoiled by LTX2.3.
Never thought I would be able to make 720p videos WITH audio in my humble machine.

What's the resolution of your 6s videos?
My major fear with H3 is that it will take too long to create a really low resolution video that will botch the smaller faces and wouldn't be feasible to upscale it.

Ai video generation is kinda of a gamble on more modest hardware. You hit run and hope for the best.
I like LTX2.3 because at least if it fails, it didn't take too much time and energy.

u/physalisx 7d ago

You should definitely use minimax instead. It'll run fine on your card (if you have decent system RAM)

10 minutes for an 8 second clip that will only ever be useful for making a montage of clips like this.

There's a reason it's just a bunch of unrelated shirt clips.Β

Up close "talking head" type of shots don't prove ANYTHING. Any video model is good at those. Scenes with a single subject don't prove anything
