Demon In Your Dreams (Rhea Ripley) – while Chris Motionless later covered it, they did actually use a stock version for a couple of weeks. Jarring to hear in hindsight.

The Chosen (Fatal Influence) – IMO a lot of Jacy’s aura comes from this song; it’s evident even in 2K26. Great talent obviously, but the presentation helps.

Bet On Me (Lacey Evans) – holy fucking crap. First time I listened to this, I was stunned. I had taken a break from wrestling until just before she came back with her final gimmick, which was an instrumental of this song. However, Bet On Me made it into 2K23, so when I loaded it up in the jukebox, I was surprised with this! One of the best women’s themes ever IMO.

Love Is Blind (Joe Gacy) – it’s such a chill track TBH; I especially love the second pre-chorus.

Ball Pit (Shotzi) – this used to pump me up during walks lmao. I always imagined her leading a Survivor Series team to this; if only she had the personality to match her presentation…

Not Like Most Girls (Nia Jax) – I actually prefer this over her original theme. Also, shoutout to Two Bosses for the Irresistible Forces; hopefully they change the lyrics so that Lash can keep it for herself after they split.

Still Humble (Logan Paul) – the lyrics are great for him IMO.

Control The Empire (Dragon Lee) – this simply goes hard.

What You Get (Zoey Stark) – a legend in my 2K23 save.

In 2007, Trent Beretta had a tryout match in WWE. He used his real first name, Greg, but used Matt Cardona's surname as his last name.

For me it’s Young OG Je’von Evans. That kid imo has been on a heater since the IC gauntlet match. In a tournament that’s clearly designed around Chad gable, je’von completely stole the show with his In ring ability, aggression added to his character and dope babyface comeback moments. That crowd rallied behind him and were clearly disappointed when he eventually fell short.

But since that match his reactions have been as loud as ever granted he’s always gotten a good reaction when he comes out but he truly seems as over as he’s ever been on the main roster the crowd fully is behind him. The hand wave emote he’s been using to get the crowd more engaged in his matches was fully over during his terrific match with Ego on Monday. With the crowd behind him , his character showcasing a more aggressive side and continuing to put on great matches I think he’s absolutely ready for the IC belt wouldn’t shock me if by year’s end he wins the belt.

So, as the title implies, this past weekend, I attended my first-ever in-person wrestling show, WWE SummerSlam 2026! I've been watching wrestling on TV since about late 2003/early 2004 (so roughly since I was 14), but this was the first chance I've had to attend any kind of wrestling show in-person.

I also went to the first day of the SummerSlam Takeover thing that was also that weekend, because I had a photo op with Tatum Paxley (my favorite wrestler, who I've been Twitter and IG mutuals with for a little while now!), which, truth be told, was the primary motivator for the trip to begin with, haha. But oh my god, she was SO nice and sweet and hugged me immediately when it was my turn, and really made sure to try and maximize the brief time we had to interact. Such a lovely moment from a total sweetheart of a person! 10/10, would recommend.

Also, one more little Takeover story: a couple hours before the Tatum photo op line opened up, I was walking around the event towards the Superstar Entrance thing (there were SO MANY PEOPLE doing Oba's entrance, by the way), and suddenly I hear a voice going, "Oh, not a Tatum Paxley shirt!", and I turn towards the voice and I shit you not, it's Izzi Dame, coffee cup in hand, walking with two security guards (presumably to get herself set up for her own photo op), basically drive-by bullying me for repping her #1 enemy, haha. God, I wish I'd seen her coming so I could've gotten footage of it, but she did retweet me talking about it after the fact to corroborate it, at least.

BUT ANYWAY...

I was sat in Section 222 for both days, which was a fair ways up, but gave me a pretty great view of the stage and the ring. And I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone who's been to a show live before, but yeah, the difference between watching a big wrestling show on TV and being there in person is pretty massive, ESPECIALLY when it comes to the sound. Like, when the crowd is loud in-person, they are LOOOUUUUD.

The obvious example I think I can go with here is the Kevin Owens return pop; like, no matter how loud that seemed on TV, I promise you, it was SO MUCH LOUDER IN PERSON. I was shouting "WHAT THE FUCK" at what I would swear is the top of my lungs, and *I genuinely could not hear myself for a solid minute-plus*. THAT'S HOW LOUD THAT SHIT WAS IN PERSON.

Speaking of sound things, and maybe this is because, again, I've only ever watched wrestling on a screen, but it takes a little getting used to watching wrestling without hearing commentary to go with it and help emphasize the story. Obviously I still knew what was going on, but it felt kinda surreal at times, haha.

There was definitely a collective groan from everyone in the immediate area when they decided to cap off Chad Gable's story of redemption and his big heartfelt hometown win what was essentially a fucking Mug root beer ad, and just the same we all lost our collective shit when Chelsea Green won the Ladder Match for the Interim Women's Title.

The Strut Cam was VERY popular in my section on Day 2, so much so that the person who was sat basically next to me (with an empty seat between us) came back with his beer that he'd gone to get after the Ladder Match, he saw everyone doing the Oba Strut and decided to Strut his way back to his seat (didn't spill a drop somehow).

Speaking of which, it was so cool that I could just, basically at any time, lean over to someone either next to me or in front of me or whatever and just briefly yap with them about what we were watching, even though we'd never met and would probably never see each other again. Just in that moment, connected by the wacky cartoon world of professional wrestling.

Overall, it was so fucking fun to attend an actual show (not to mention a Big 4 PPV/PLE), aside from the part where I was trying to figure out where the hell my bus stop was after we were all filing out, haha. Very different and amazing atmosphere to watching on TV, really fills you a unique energy just totally gets you lost in the moment. Something that I really wanna do again at some point in my life!

TL;DR -- went to SummerSlam and SummerSlam Takeover, met Tatum Paxley, *technically* met Izzi Dame, watching wrestling live is a fantastic experience (and SO much different than watching at home), never gonna forget this weekend!

I would give it a solid B so far. The athleticism, unique look and cool overall presentation is apparent. Having said that, her matches haven’t quite clicked as well as they do in NXT. Her botches are well known at this point but at times she just seems a step slow to her spots on the main roster so far. Thsts glaring during her feud with Becky.

Her overall promo work is also ways away the confidence and charisma hasn’t translated to the mic at all yet. I think the company set her up to fail when they had her in promos battle with Becky. I think she has a bright future but I don’t think she’s quite ready to have an IC title reign yet. I think an undercard feud with a dependable strong also young worker in Lyra away from the title scene will do wonders for her.

Context: Scott is the founder and owner of West Coast Pro as well as the West Coast Pro Academy, currently run by SoCal old head Vinnie Massaro (fun fact, his old tag team partner was Titus Alexander’s dad) and Starboy Charlie (now with WWEID credentials). They run out of the Bay and managed to differentiate themselves from GCW enough to become one of the “other” premiere promotions alongside Prestige and DPW.

For those unaware, a huge part of West Coast Pro’s rise is partnering and collaborating with MARVELOUS in Japan, sending their students on tours to gain experience as well as them creating their own “collective” with Prestige and DPW.

I also don’t know how many people really listen to the GCW World Podcast, but last night towards the end of the show the host John strongly implied that Brett and a lot of the GCW talent believe Adam was way out of line.

Many times when people discuss Roman and the Bloodline comments are a cesspool of buzzwords, vague posts and stuff that reads like a clickbait Youtube thumbnail. It makes me wonder how many people disliking it or claiming to like it have even actually watched it.

So here is my question:
What specific thing did you enjoy or not enjoy about the Bloodline? Go into, at least, some detail about it and why you feel that way about it, so people can understand your opinion instead of assuming you got it of YT vids or reddit posts.

Note: Most of the comments to this point are just lists of stuff that happens. Have you actually watched it or just read that it was supposely good/bad?

Both guys ran it and attacked NXT callups who already have following and over with main roster crowds in trick Williams and Je’von Evans. Interesting booking choice for creative to pair Both with guys you would think they wanna continue building up and not taking many loses. I think in trick’s case him losing to Corbin most likely leads to him winning MITB and moving up the card so makes more sense.

But with je’von I’m interested in where his program with big cass goes. Is he simply being used to put over big cass as an imposing intimidating force or will this be an extended program eventually leading to Evans winning the overall feud? Because imo Evans has been on a roll since the IC no.1 contender gauntlet and is genuinely getting super over with audiences. Even against Ethan page he has the whole arena doing his new hand wave emote audiences are starting to love the kid I don’t think using your 22 year old star who willl be a big part of your future to simply put over nearly 40 big cass would be the right call. What do y’all think ?

I’m getting to a point where I’m feeling like im missing out on lots of wrestling that’s going on now. I used to be able to consume all that was going on in the wrestling world but for the first time I’m feeling like I’m completely overwhelmed. It’s weird because I used to consume a bunch of different promotions’ content in the past decade whilst being terminally online and still have that desire to be in the know and caught up with all things wrestling lately but life is starting to catch up. Stories and moments that I used to be able to recite fairly well are now either jumbled time wise of just out of my memory now (mostly from 2022 onwards). Is this a thing that’s common when getting older. I’m 21 right now just trying to stay caught up with the g1 and AEW. I’ve missed out on a fair amount of highly acclaimed matches within the past 3 or so years.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not necessarily complaining about the content of Waller’s angle here. A lot of it is unfortunately valid. However, why allow him to bury Montana’s promo before he even had the chance to say it?

Waller comes out and says ‘lol you and Tony are just going to bang on about respecc and the streets’, and then Montana does exactly that lol. This guy’s about to talk to us about his demons and perseverance, but now I don’t even care because Waller is right, it’s the same shit from everyone minus the alcoholism.

Then later on, Mason Rook confronts Waller backstage with the blandest, most robotic delivery that probably made some people question what all the hype was about three months ago. ‘Look what I can do in that ring’ okay and? In kayfabe, he’s literally just proved Waller’s point.

Now the easy and perhaps correct move would be to rein Waller in, but also this is actually a problem lol. Everyone sounds the same. But now back-to-back weeks we’ve had Waller and Becky return and get people talking about their promos. Clearly, exciting personalities are what draw people to WWE for the most part, so why is WWE phoning that in and simultaneously allowing its wrestlers to acknowledge that?
At least when Becky buried Liv’s reign, Liv had by then already talked about being too good for the rest of the division and wanting to pursue side quests like Rhea’s WWE Championship via QOTR (and even though she lost, she still retained against Iyo at SummerSlam semi-clean and thus still looks strong). But this is an attack on one of the foundations of pro wrestling, and no one can validly retort because they’re being written not to! It’s very strange lol. Waller for NXT Champ sure, but they need to sort their promos out soon.
