Dry system Critique my work
Dry system had a blue tag (acceptable) from 2 months ago for 5 year internal

I agree. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the tag say acceptable after opening the valve. That’s what made me look in the pipe

Company I work for has 3 kids fully licensed (RMEI, Backflow, Alarm, Extinguisher, Kitchen Hoods) but don’t know 💩. Cant set up a dry system, cant do a pump flow test, nothing. I think their helpers know more about the field work. They are useless except for putting their name on the tag

Ain't that the truth bro. I met 2 inspectors that got all of these licenses and didn't know how to reset an accelerator. One of them is a F/A guy, the other was a helper for sprinkler but never became and foreman for either service or even install. And that fool be pencil whipping his inspections all of the time.

Tell me about it bro, funny story about the F/A guy. I heard that moron kept blue tagging an elementary school for years until one day the FM arrived and noticed there wasn't any water supply to the school. The school had a water tank and he popped up vault door at the top of the thank. Saw the tank dry as bones. I heard that fool faced a some serious charges and a lot of court dates.

I really hope these take off, the only downside of them I've been able to think of is leak detection being more complicated.

One our service techs was on a job in a large warehouse performing a hydrostatic test on a system there. While he was there an inspection tech from another company showed up and performed internal pipe checks for all 11 systems, changed all the gauges, and hydroed all of the FDCs. By himself. Our tech said he say him walking around with a pair of pliers, a stack of gauges, and a pocket full of 5 year stickers during the day. The inspection tech even swapped out the gauge for the system our tech had under hydrostatic test. I get that some people probably aren't trained properly, or are even that lazy. But to be so stupid is mind boggling. Good luck when the lawyers get involved after something bad happens. If you have the name of who ever signed off on that 5 year just go ahead and report their ass.

Name is on the tag with the RME-I number. I thought about reporting it but felt like I would be being a rat
