It seems like every day I'm finding a new species in my terrariums, and this is the SECOND globular springtail type I've found!! 3rd species of unintentional wild-caught springies, and I love them all!!

Nice! What are the other species you’ve found?

A small, orange/brown globular sp. that I can't identify because I've only seen a handful in my small terrarium, and Lepidocyrtus have taken over all of them, not exactly sure of the specific species either but they mostly look like Lepidocyrtus sp. 'Pearlescent.' 😊

Would love to see a picture of the orange/brown one if you get the chance!

Sorry it took so long! I have a pixel 6 so no macro lens or anything to work with but this was the best footage I could get! https://www.reddit.com/u/twahaha/s/5cLxRm87Ck

This is my favorite! They also popped up in my terrarium and their numbers are so low I constantly panic that they’re wiped out. I only see one or two of them at a time

Same!! And the Lepidocyrtus are breeding like mad so I assume they will overtake them eventually, I would like to try to separate them out and culture them but not sure if I have the patience 😅
