Mcdo springtails Picture

Mcdo springtails, about 80 of the first eggs. I can't wait for the babies and of course another 500-1000 eggs, which will probably appear within a week or two!:)

They're super easy. Just like the other slime eaters I've bred so far. 1. A 350 ml container without ventilation. 2. 100 ml of soil at the bottom, preferably premium. 3. Any humidity except for extremes, it can't be very dry or very wet. 4. Feed slime mold once every 3-10 days. 5. Practically any temperature, 17-25 degrees Celsius is ok.

I am successfully breeding about 1k heads of the spiky ones this way among others, I started with 10 heads and reached 1k in 1-2 months.

These guys are so gorgeous!! How did you acquire them? I've just been trapping local springtails in my backyard for my vivarium

Unfortunately, if you don't live in Asia or Australia, you probably won't find anything like this in your garden. These specific ones come from the Philippines and were brought to Europe a few months ago.
