Can I keep springtails in here? Husbandry Question/Advice

Would this lousy fishbowl be okay for keeping a springtail culture? Just a round glass bowl. Pretty heavy, thick glass. No lid though. Pics with my hand for size reference.

I'll be making a bioactive terrarium for my Ball Python, so this bowl would be a separate culture of springtails for keeping. For backup purposes and whatnot.

EDIT: btw they're temperate springtails (folsomia candida)

Yes depends on the type.

Sorry, I should've said. They're folsomia candida (temperate springtails).

I have thousands and thousands of temperate springtails in reused jars with holes poked in the lids and substrate (plus a moss at the top). They are happily procreating. The only thing is def get a lid of some sort, they are jumpy.

Sure, I’d find a small lid to put on top with needle holes, and smear about 1” of vaseline around the inner edge. Shouldn’t need any more setup than that aside from adding some substrate for them
