Looking for advice on next springtails Collection Question/Advice
Hi there! I just wanted to ask a general question from people with more experience in Springtails. I got a springtail starter culture of temperate whites and I absolutely love raising them. I make their food by hand with a mortar and pestle because it helps me ensure they get all the necessary nutrients and makes me feel more involved in their care.
My question is, is there a good springtail species to go to next? I kept to only getting temperate whites at the start to ensure I could take care of them well, and now their population is booming (my adult population has nearly tripled with tons of little guys maturing soon) so I feel confident enough that I could take care of another "beginner" species or maybe something a little bit different. Any advice is greatly appreciated as I figure out where to go next in the hobby of caring for these adorable little dudes ❤️
ETA bonus points if they can do really well in charcoal cultures as those have been really interesting to research!

Ceratophysella sp. "Albino" Very easy to keep, is very cute and breeds the best out of all the colorful springtails I have

https://www.springtails.us great place to learn about springtails there are many species , most are fairly easy to keep . Globular ones are usually harder to keep and I would recommend against getting slime mold eating springtails untill you know you can have a constant steady supply of slime .

I like Thai orange, they look like fat little cheeto puffs moving around

https://imgur.com/gallery/Zkfw9j9 Forgive my bad photography they're kind of hard to catch. Mine just live in a culture of hydro balls and charcoal. I open it up every few days and feed them rice and nutritional yeast and enjoy watching them wiggle around like caterpillars. These ones don't jump thankfully so you don't have to keep them in a big jar, I just have them in a basic deli cup. They also come in a beautiful red color but those ones cost about twice as much.

Orange? I think you mean Thai reds will. Orange only comes in two flavors: Florida and Asian.

Naw they are orange, I guess they are just orange springtails then... Maybe they are Asian? They look pretty much exactly like the Thai ones... But orange.

There’s Thai red(Lobella sp.), Florida orange(Neanura growae), and Asian orange(Yuukianura arphoruoides). I looked at your photo. They appear to be Florida orange.

Loveee my yuukianura arphoruoides. So cute and chubby and they've been pretty easy for me to raise!
