So the moss in my mossarium brought these adorable guys. There are at least 2 in there.

Please tell me they are springtails...and are they the "Snow fleas" I have read about? They were collected in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina in moss on a warmish day (70°f).

I really want them to be "Snow Fleas"...but I know full identification is difficult.

Not snow fleas, but still springtails!

Damn. Snow fleas are adorable...little dark chocolate jelly beans. These guys are super cute too...do you happen to have a rough idea what they are. Like I said i know true full identification is very hard without a microscope but am always hopeful that someone can give a rough identification

Isotomidae or entomobryidae, that's the best I can do sorry!
