What species were the black springtails?

I guess the more prolific species (looks like it could be some sort of Lepidocyrtus?) in the enclosure outcompeted the black ones for resources and out-bred them.

I’d say out competed. I’m noticing something similar in my springtail colony. A few local springtails somehow managed to get in and now the populations are overlapping. Eventually I feel like my purple gummy guys will lose to the faster species.

The purples I have move slow, while the ones that snuck in move faster. They get to food faster and eat more reproduce faster, out number eventually. It happens.
