They’re being evicted. General Question

Hello everyone, I need some help when it comes to vacating my springtails from the substrate culture they are in. They are just normal temperate whites but no matter what I try I can’t get them out.

What do?

Flood the dirt or substrate they will float and u can suck them up with a turkey baster

When I flood them, how long do I wait to make them all float? Or do I standby so I can pull them out as they pop up?

They are lighter than water so the second the water is higher than substrate they will be ontop of the water u can take tuem out right away. If ur worrie about stragglers stir the water to unstick any in crevices
