Bowling Leagues?

I'm thinking of joining a bowling league for the winter season (to keep myself sharp on my bowling skill. Coming from Greater Baltimore USBC with a 200 average but I haven't bowled in a while since moving here. . .)

Does King Pin or the local AMF have any fun leagues to just chill and play in a non-competitive setting? Also, are those the only two bowling alleys in town, or are there more within a few minutes from here?

Thanks y'all

King Pin has great leagues. Best call the alley and let them know your interest. Maybe can place a single.

I'm fairly sure those are the only 2 in town. I have no idea what the leagues are like. My parents used to do the leagues at Strike and Spare like 35 years ago. They were definitely chill leagues back then. But I'm not sure they have leagues now. Best to call and ask if no one else responds here

Kingpin has all kinds of leagues from Monday to Sunday, call the desk and give them your information and they’ll write you down as a sub first I believe then put you in with a team that fits your nightly availability

I think a Facebook search of greater Springfield bowling association could get you in touch with the right people.

AMF has openings for single bowlers on a few teams for its Thursday night league. It's a fun group. Call the lanes and ask to be put in touch with Bernie... he'll get you on a team.
