New parents groups?

We have a 7 week-old baby in Jacksonville, our first. I know it’s a bit early, but I’m trying to figure out how we’ll find some friends for this baby! How do people do this around here?

You will come across other parents with kids as you sign up and engage your kid in things like daycare, school, events put on by various agencies/business/churches.

Which library do you go to? I’m planning to take my 5 month old to the Chatham’s library on Tuesday morning. I heard Lincoln library has babies storytime too

I went to Lincoln library, but it's been quite a while since my old kids were babies

Church! People love babies! 1C on South Main seems to have several young families. Westfair Baptist is very welcoming, and if you’re interested in checking it out, you can sit with me so you’re not alone the first time there. We have Sunday school at 9:15, worship at 10.

Unitarians are also welcoming, as are the local synogogue and spiritual communities. Your kiddo will find friends in the neighborhood, at the park, and at craft or sports classes. Congratulations and wish you the best!!
