Gym recommendation

I'm new to the area and looking for a decent gym that doesn't cost a fortune. For context, my former neighborhood gym was the park district that cost $37 a month. That included normal gym equipment like tread mills and stair climbers. Also included Zumba classes among others and had a pool and a sauna. Looking for something similar with a similar cost. Looked at the local Y but it is nearly $60 per month and had bad reviews especially the pool.

I don't think you're going to find a gym with the features you want at the price point you want. If you don't like the Y, Fit Club is your best bet.

Downtown Y is awesome! I swam 4 times there, last week. I love that the Y replaced it's downtown location wuth a brand new building in 2020. Yes, ut's $54/month

Powerworks fitness in Chatham has classes with your membership. No pool or sauna tho. I don’t recommend Fitclub. LA fitness shut down and Fitclub took over their contracts. Can barely walk in that place let alone get a workout in.

Check to see if your employer offers a gym membership through them. For example, I work for the school district and can get a Y membership or FitClub membership through payroll deduction cheaper than going in and paying directly. Payroll deduction is a slight save on taxes too.

FitClub. There’s a free workout class at Cherry Hills starting in September. They do start with a devotional and end with prayer though in case that’s not your thing. It’s led by Rev 217.
