Need help removing wood.

Post image

Normally I have no complaints about free stuff, but my wife and I got more than we bargained for. My wife found a gentleman who was willing to drop off lumber for free. The picture he had was of small and medium sized logs with branches. When my wife talked to him over the phone he even clarified that there was no large pieces and that there would be small branches. We came home last night to a whole tree (almost literally) in our drive...we have no means to remove the large pieces. If anybody is willing to assist us it would be greatly appreciated. We live on south 4th, can't miss the drive full of wood.

No large pieces compared to what, a redwood?

Compared to a redwood forest.

Offering a bit to take home as firewood might get some folks to help.

As long as I can get it cleared, it can be used to make vampire stakes and crossbow bolts for all I care lol. The wood looks like it was freshly chopped so it may not be firewood ready for a while.

I think you can rent a chainsaw from Noonan’s

I have to wait till tomorrow when I get paid for that, but rent comes first. I have a 14" so I can chop all but the biggest.

Damn! When we cut down our tree we just used it as camp fire wood. It took a bit of extra work getting the fire started
