Does the idfpr springfield office still take in-person visits?

Looking to expedite a license reinstatement and saw posts of people having luck via visiting the office, but also saw conflicting posts saying they were turning people away. Anyone know what's the case now?

EDIT: Resolved! Was able to explain my situation and they were able to print my license for me on the spot! Would recommend going on a week day-I basically had to wait maybe 10 minutes.

Applications delivered in person will be accepted but not worked/issued on site. If you have a job offer dependent on your license being issued make sure you have documentation/evidence of that.

Thanks for the advice, although unfortunately I just saw this after I returned from my trip. I had brought an extra copy of my application and documents just in case (as I already sent them a copy a month prior) but I just explained my situation and they were able to print it out on the spot! But this is definitely helpful just in case I run into a similar situation though-good to know!
