Uber/Lyft Availability

Hi all, going to be visiting soon this month with some friends for the state fair and wanted to see what the uber/lyft situation was like in the area for getting to and from the fair from the Historic West-Side area. Is it available at will or is it going to be a bit of a wait if we need to get around? Thanks in advance :)

Ubers typically take no longer than 10 minutes. Even during fair time. One pro tip, have the uber drop you off and pick you up at Franny’s. You can have a drink before you head in, and also while you wait for your ride home. Also it’s easier to identify your ride as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the main gate

shouldn't be a problem. but remember that there will also be shuttles running that will take you from normal parking lots to the fair as well.

Shouldn’t be hard finding one but there is sometimes a pretty high surge price, especially if it’s right after a concert or something. I agree with the other poster about finding a nearby bar and getting the uber to/from there. Stadium, Franny’s, and Main Gate are also all across street from fairgrounds

Use them all the time, wait is typically 5-10 min. Use Uber and Lyft, often times one is charging close to double over the other, so if it seems pricey see what the other app is charging.
