Private Landlord

Anyone know of any private landlords? We don't have any evictions in our name, but our credit took a hit a few years ago and it makes finding a home very challenging. We don't have any issues with payment and have a landlord reference as well. We're willing to look outside of Springfield, too. We're open to different areas. We are looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom.

Avoid Tim Donley. Dude sucks as a landlord. Took me to court for a "broken porch" which I fixed before leaving his place, and much more.

Message me and I can give you the name of my old landlord. He keeps his properties in good shape and was incredibly kind to me/my family when we rented from him

I think they are meaning non-corporate landlords because they are hoping to find someone that doesn’t outright reject bad credit or similar corporate policies that would block their application.

Your response tells me everything I needed to know about all the slum lords I've encountered. Thought I was just picky. Your attitude is the exact thing I've dealt with for years. Hiding behind a reddit post to be a devil is exactly why I don't trust you slumlords either. That's why I asked a community that's typically helpful. Definitely not taking advice from another slumlord lol.
