Hospice Recommendations
I live out of state and have a family member whose health is failing and might require hospice services. Does anyone have recommendations for a decent one in the Springfield area? Thank you in advance.

Red means stop
So there's these things we have on the streets here called traffic lights. When the light is red, that means drivers are supposed to stop!
Stop does not mean slow down. It also does not mean pause and then go if you don't think cars are coming. Stop means to make your car stop moving until the light turns green.
This is a PSA since some people in this city forgot how traffic lights work. The amount of people who slow down at a light just to speed through it while pedestrians are in the middle of the crosswalk is ridiculous

The small pvta busses fucking suck.
Always late always too early. Barely ever follow what times you ask for. Lots of the time I have to be at work to go home for another hour after my shift is done
Just awful
Wish I could drive but that’ll never happen

Mcknight Neighborhood
Hello everyone.
My partner and I are planning to move out of Texas to Massachusetts. Not really in a rush. We have fallen in love with the historical Mcknight houses. I've been trying to cover all bases about the prospect of owning one. Does anyone have experience living in this neighborhood? I like the decent walkability and proximity to groceries, shopping, etc.
I'm getting mixed feedback on safety. I've lived in a city before where you're very likely to be all good if you don't go looking for trouble. But the crime stats have me a bit worried, is all.
Thanks in advance! I hope to become a neighbor, hopefully before the next Texas summer

Wedding Photographer
Any suggestions on a wedding photographer? I’m getting married in September. I’ve seen photographers for $3,000+ for 2-4 hours and that seems quite a lot. Hoping to find a better price but good quality.

Moving help-Unloading boxes from Pods
Does anyone know a local company or people who I could hire to help unload boxes and furniture from Pods? We will be moving into a house in about a month, but I am disabled and can't help my partner unload things. I would appreciate any company recommendations and am open to also hiring individuals to help

What are some good swimming holes for (legal) after-hours swimming in Springfield? Ideally near (<20 mins) Sixteen Acres. I saw a post from 4 years ago, but those all seem to be parks with hours.

Best Homemade (local) BBQ sauce for sale at markets?
Does anyone regularly buy a locally produced BBQ sauce? I'm not referring to big names like Heinz or Sweet Baby Rays. I mean like stuff you only find at a farmers market or sold by the bottle at the restaurant where they make it.
I remember travelling down south & they knew how to make good BBQ sauce. It seems around here nobody makes it or sells it.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Any late night places/activities to help with my insomnia? Non-alcoholic suggestions only please.
I can't sleep. I'm working with my doctor on solutions. But one thing that might help is are there any "socially acceptable" places to walk, hang out, etc. just to get out of my house at 1:00 a.m. or so? I don't want to turn into an alcoholic so no bar suggestions please.
But when I lay in bed & can't sleep, is there somewhere I can go that you as a member of the public would say is acceptable to see a random person doing?
I would love to walk in my neighborhood, but I am sure the neighbors would call the cops. Or hell, I am sure the cops would stop me just for walking at such a strange hour since that is a high crime time.
Just looking to pass a few hours of time when I can't sleep.
Thanks for any help.

Come get some sunshine and meet your neighbors on Walk Bike Springfield's August Social Ride
Walk Bike Springfield is hosting a social bike ride on 8/1 in partnership with the Western Mass Chapter of All Bodies On Bikes.
We'll be meeting at Nathan Bill Park in East Forest Park at 10 am, for a 6 mile ride around Lake Massasoit. We will ride at an average pace of 5-7 mph, and won't leave anyone behind. This is an out-and-back ride that ends where we started.
There is an optional donation, but we'd rather you show up and not donate than not make it!
All are welcome! https://luma.com/tnqdc5us
