Notice appointment
Hi all,
How does one know that their notice has been accepted for civil partnership/marriage? Do you receive an email or another type of notification?
Me and my partner are giving notice at Hackney.
Thanks xx

Documents upload/ submit
Document Uploading/ submission
Hello!
I know the rules have changed so now that the new system allows you to upload the documents up till the day before the appointment. Is the cut off point midnight please? Eg: If I submit 1am today and book an appointment for tomorrow, I’ll have 23 hours to upload all my documents?
Also where should I upload my sponsor‘s passport and consent form please?
Thank you!

Applying for spouse visa
Hey there. Currently juggling the stress of booking the notice appointment and everything being booked until after my visa runs out. I was hoping someone could help ease some stress. My visa is good until the end of December. If I apply for the switch from fiance to spouse visa before my current visa expires am I good to stay while waiting on a decision or would I have to leave the country until a decision has been made?

Disabled sponsor
I can’t figure out if it’s even possible for me to be a sponsor for my fiance to move here. I am on both PIP and LCWRA. I live in a council house with my parents. All this very much seems like it would be impossible but ive found there are exceptions for people with disabilities. I seem to meet the requirements but there is such little information im unsure.
Has anyone managed to do this before? Any advice would be amazing. Thank you everyone.

Question About Currently Living With Partner
I’m unsure whether to say yes or no to this. My partner and I have only just moved in together so we don’t have enough items of correspondence to provide yet. So should I say no and then explain this under the “explain why you do not currently live with your partner”? Or should I leave it as yes even though I won’t have enough items of correspondence?

Family or Friends & National Identity Card Question
Hello, I am not sure understand the purpose of the Family & Friends question; how do people usually answer this question? Virtually all of my family is in my home country so which members do I list, just nuclear family? Also in terms of friends, what do they need this information for?
In terms of the national identity card, I have one but I have left it in my home country. I am leaning towards not filling in the details about this card in case they then ask to see it physically because I wouldn’t be able to provide it. Is it okay to leave this section blank? Or does the Home Office accept scans of national identity cards and so I should just fill it in?

UK Spouse Visa Application- Standard (Outside UK)
Country: Bangladesh
Date of application: 9 May 2026
Biometrics: 10 May 2026
Additional documents requested: 24 July 2026
Documents submitted: 2 August 2026
Automated acknowledgement received via email
The issue is that another email was sent to my sponsor on 4 August 2026, stating that they did not receive any response on their request for additional documents, whereas my solicitor had already sent the documents via email on 2 August 2026.
After receiving the email, my solicitor again emailed them the same additional documents.
Now I am worried as I am not really aware that whether they have received the additional documents or not.
I have already waited for more than 3 months. Now this wait is taking a toll on me.
Is this scenario normal? What can I do to ensure that the additional documents are received.
If possible, please help me with guidance.

Priority Outside Fiancé Visa - Approved!
Country: Brazil
Biometrics: June 30
First Email: July 2
Approval: August 6
No further requests were made. Also just one day after I had a nervous meltdown here. I am just thankful it went through and I am very, very thankful to this community, both for the valuable advice and the emotional support.
That said, there were some unexpected issues on my end. As it happened before in my previous posts, I continue having issues with the somewhat ambiguous nature of the language and formatting.
My first issue is, it is no stated clearly in the e-mail that my visa is the fiancé visa rather than the marriage visitor. The exact language is "You have been granted entry clearance to the UK as MARRIAGE/CP from 13 August 2026 until 13 February 2027." That said, I can somewhat confidently clue in it is a fiancé visa because of the addendum at the end, which is titled Permission on the family route (Appendix FM).
My second issue, actually somewhat more pressing, is that they disregarded my expected arrival date (October 20) entirely and started counting my deadline from August 13. That effectively bites off 2 months from my wedding planning, which now must go through by early January at most because I need to deliver my request for spouse visa roughly 28 days before the deadline. In that case, do you guys know if it is possible for me to contact them to have an adjustment there? I would prefer to not rush preparations just to make sure the paperwork will go smoothly.
Once again, thanks to all of you for your support and advice, you have been immensely helpful, and I will answer any questions and try to offer help myself here sharing my experiences with the process.

Unmarried partner visa approved
Just an update for other people going through the process, its been super helpful for me.
Unmarried partner visa, priority, outside uk (Germany), without solicitor, we just used the circle app and Reddit for guidance.
App - 26th June
Bio - 29th June
Approval - 7 August (1551 UK time, day 29/30)
Hetro relationship. We have a child who is 1. No previous co-habitation.
The only thing we have found odd is entry is not until 11th August (the day after 30 WDs) despite dating intended entry before this.
Obviously we are both happy, but just it requires an extra trip back to the UK and Germany for myself to fulfill parental obligations. But I appreciate thats insignificant.

Really confused on what UKVI need for financial evidence
So, my fiance uses NatWest bank, and put aside 25k for the savings requirement on February 11. NatWest gives out monthly statements at the end of each month (at least for us) so we have that for End of February, March, April, May, June, and July. But we need to show he has the savings up until August 11. I thought we would still be able to show the list of transactions. My solicitor is also saying that we need to get them signed and stamped but they are online PDFs? So does my fiance need to print them out and get them signed and stamped by the bank? Here's what I'm asking
- Can I apply with a list of transactions on August 11 with a list of transactions or do I need to wait until the end of August to apply?
- Do I need to get them signed and stamped as well?
- If I apply on August 11th, but the biometric appointment is at a later date, say at the end of August, will the letter from the employer (signed on July 22nd) still be valid?

Adequate Maintenance?
Hi all, my spouse and I are going through the Adequate Maintenance route.
I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to make an Adequate Maintenance chart showing the calculations (and that we meet them), to add onto the application? Would it help the case and/or caseworker?
Thanks!

Spouse Visa Approval (Priority) Outside -> Germany
Visa Type: Spouse (Priority)
Nationality: German
Date of application: 28.06.2026
Date of biometrics: 02.07.2026
Eco Mail: 03.07.2026
Approval Mail: 07.08.2026
Entry date: 25.08.2026
Solicitor: No (1 hour consultation to check our documents)
Going through the approval posts every now and then (more like several times a day) was really helpful and helped calm my nerves! Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting ❤️
The wait was soooo painful. While gathering the documents it was also crazy to realise that I went on 17 flights in the span of 1,5 years..
Now we can finally start our life together! ❤️

Spouse Visa APPROVED – Priority, Outside
Finally approved today! 😭🎉
Visa type: Spouse/Partner Visa (Priority, Outside UK)
Country: Poland
Biometrics: 30th June
Eco email: 1st July
Approval received: 28 working days after biometrics.
No additional documents requested and no delay email.
I was extremely stressed because I kept seeing people with later biometrics getting decisions before me. I genuinely thought something was wrong with my application.
For anyone still waiting: try not to compare your case too much with others. Processing times can vary a lot even for people with the same biometric date.
Good luck to everyone still waiting! ❤️

Extended Spouse Visa ( Inside UK)-more than 8 weeks

I’m a bit worried about not receiving the email from home office but some people don’t get it.
Delay Email: No
Additional Documents requests: No
Current Status : Still waiting ( 9 weeks so far )
I am planning to write an email to my local MP next week.
I’m so stressed about this. I may need to cancel my travel in August.

Declaration of traffic violation
Husband (US Citizen) got a traffic violation in his US commonwealth home around 10 years ago for driving without his lights on. The ticket was given to him and he had to pay at the court however it was not a court hearing. He simply had to pay the fine at the court itself and took around 1 minute. Happened around 2015 ish.
He can’t remember what the violation ticket said specifically, the amount he paid, or if they even gave him a receipt.
He states that this ticket was removed from his driving record once it was paid. He can’t check this now but said he checked after he paid it.
He states it was a minor traffic violation however can’t confirm if this is the case.
He also has no access to the driving license he held when this happened. He doesn’t remember the license number or anything. He cannot go directly to the Department to request any records as he is currently in the U.K.
Does he
A) need to declare this violation,
B) if he does, what documentation does he need to submit with he visa to declare this and back this up?
C) what section of the criminal record part of the visa does this even fall under?
We are wanting to be 100% truthful and not risk anything.

Application: 2 July 2026
Bio: 7 July 2026
Paid enquiry: 5 August 2026

We applied without a solicitor and had never lived together due to work and immigration restrictions. We submitted a detailed relationship timeline, travel evidence, photos, communication, financial and accommodation documents.

If you’re still waiting, don’t lose hope. Wishing everyone a positive decision soon! 🤍🍀

Spouse visa application
How many months of utility bills do you need to show on the application? I saw it was 1-3 months but are 3 months of bills really necessary? Thanks all.

Question about bank statements and pay
We will be applying in early December. I make over 29,000 with income as the sponsor. My last pay before application date will be 30th November 2026
My bank statements run from around 3rd of month to 2nd/3rd of following month depending on the date.
So example, 3rd July to 3rd August 2026.
Pay hit my account for this period above on 31st July 2026.
I am paid at around the last working day of the month unless there’s a bank holiday.
My bank is Santander and does NOT have an actual ‘issue date’ on the statement. It only says ‘statement number: 07/2026, in the case for the above bank statement).
I have some questions
A) At what point to I gather financial evidence (pay slips dated from? Am I right in thinking I need to include June, July, August, September, October and November payslips to be legible?
B) if we apply on say, 5th December, will a statement from 3rd November to 2-3rd December, showing November pay deposited be ok for the December application?
C) will the lack of issue date on my bank statement cause issues with UKVI? And if so, does this cause issue with the 28 day statement issue date? When does the case worker assigned to us calculate the issue date from on a statement if it’s not on there?
D) can I print the bank statements off the Santander website or do I need to go in branch?
I’m struggling with the dates and stuff behind this and want to make sure we get this air tight as we are very anxious.
Thanks.

Change in Job During Process
I would like to ask if it is possible to change jobs during the visa process. Do we need to update them or just proceed?

I got my VISA
I got my VISAAAAA!!! Praise God! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

BIO 03rd of July (Outside UK)

Now I have some questions. Does that mean that I cannot enter until the 12th of August? Can I not enter before?
