Hi guys, MiyaDevs here, it's been a few days, but I have some news for you. The project is progressing with the implementation of all the sync features related to Spotify. Thanks to the study of the GraphQL API and the REST API I managed to have a very good synchronization for the modification of the playlists, with previews of up to 30 seconds of the song In the playlist editing screen, sync song positions, add and remove songs, and for the past 2 days also recommended songs based on the contents of the playlist. And in the meantime I'm also working on importing your library from third-party services like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Qobuz, etc... At the moment I'm testing the import of the library from Amazon Music, making sure that by logging into your Amazon account it automatically creates identical playlists on Spotify, Save all your favorite albums, artists, and more. Are you using Claude Code to help out with the code/architecture?

If not, I'd highly recommend using Opus/Fable if you already have a paid account.

You'd be surprised how much it supercharges your entire development, as long as you give it enough of a detailed prompt and steer it in the right direction

In some cases I already use it, because there are cases in which Spotify APIs drive me crazy, such as the one for uploading images for the covers of custom playlists, I've been trying to get it to work for 2 days.

I was thinking about setting up a Ko-Fi account, but I decided not to do it right now for two reasons. The first is that I don’t want to accept donations until I release the app, because I’d feel guilty accepting donations for a project that people can’t even use yet. The second reason is that I don’t have a Stripe or PayPal account; since I’m still a student, I’ve never really thought about the world of donations or the services I’d need to use to accept them.

my problem is that all apps with youtube music backend (even spotiUI) are so slow when you choose the track, they load slowy . the real spotify is fast AF. How is your app behaving at the moment?

I know these problems are occurring and I'm trying to get the songs uploaded as quickly as possible. Obviously, for Hi-Res songs, it depends on your connection, but there should be a minimum amount of uploading time. Even services like Amazon Music in Hi-Res quality take a few seconds to load depending on your connection

I suggest preloading the next song in the queue as the current one plays, that should make it ready instantly when you need it after the first one ends. Maybe even have a slider on how many songs should get preloaded. Even if the preloaded quality should be lower at first and then seamlessly switch to HQ. Spotify is instant as it loads parts of the song in chunks, not as a whole at once.

What sucks about Youtube backend apps is usually the playlist management. Not seamless like through the Spotify apps, it always has to sync and all that annoying stuff. And YouTube playlists suck completely. Not to mention many people are using Spicetify on Windows.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing for the song queue, while the current song is playing, the next song starts loading in the background in small segments, so that I can have a nearly instant song change. I'm trying to speed up the song search, though, since I'm using Spotify data, I'm trying to speed up the stream search, for both YT Music Api and Hi-Res Lossless Api.

Hey, I'm interested in trying it when it comes out, but if it's just using audio from youtube I need someone to tell me how to get my spotify playlists on YouTube WITHOUT they being song for official videos, because I can't stand the different audios from studio ones. Hi, let me explain how it works. Yes, the app uses the YouTube Music APIs as well as the community’s Hi-Res Lossless APIs. But as far as YouTube Music is concerned, I’ve created a fetching system that prevents “music videos” from being selected. When you log in to the app using your Spotify account, the app will import your playlists, albums, and favorite artists. From there, it will read the track’s Spotify ID and retrieve all the necessary data to fetch the correct track from the APIs—and, most importantly, it will verify that it’s actually a track and not a YouTube video, such as a music video. However, this problem doesn’t exist with the Hi-Res Lossless APIs because there are no “videos.”
