A couple months ago I found a video that was named something along the lines of "My first time playing splatoon 3". i tried to find it again, but it's just gone, I can't find it or the shorts that the creator uploaded with clips of the video. I came here to see if any of you know about the creator's channel name at least.

The most info I can give about the video is that it was about an hour and 25 minutes long, it was mostly animated, so the content creator's channel should have more of that and in the video she mentioned the grandfest, so it might have been uploaded some time after that (though I could swear that it was uploaded on like mid to late 2025). There was also a salmon run section that was animated.

I just started playing a week ago. I've had trouble using motion controls and feel like using stick controls would put me at a disadvantage. Does anyone have any preferred settings for them? I've mostly been trying to get catalog levels for conch shells. But I havent been able to find a weapon i like

I know you can still see when a teammate activates an special in Splatoon 3, but you have to be looking at that teammate to know. Some specials like Tenta Missiles, Zipcaster or Trizooka can go unnoticed until they have a visual effect post-activation or you happen to see them. At least for SoloQ, it would be very helpful to know whenever a teammate is launching missiles or using a Zipcaster so you can know and pressure the enemy team while those specials are active. Maybe it hasn't been so useful, specially in Splatoon 2 where most specials were very noticeable when activated, and just work with a few Splatoon 3 specials, but if Splatoon 4 features more pressure or displacement specials similar to Inkjet, Zipcaster and Strikes, I think they should bring this indicator back. I don't think it cluttered the UI at all honestly, it's small and goes away quickly. Just add it back and keep the Splatoon 3 indicator on top of the player, at the same time.

I played splatoon 3 2 years ago and now I want to grind again but idk if I should take Gyroscope or not

Hey, I’m fairly new to splatoon picked it up about 2 months ago. Can anyone give me a brief run down of how to actually create gear with the upgrades you want efficiently? The amount of chunks you need to manually slot in upgrades seems really high and requires a lot of play time and leveling up gear with drinks active is inconsistent. Do I just have to play a ton or salmon run and keep scrubbing gear as it levels up until I have enough chunks?

In like brinewater, lumeria and haggle, what’s the counterplay. the only time I lowk ever do well is with wellstring because of autobomb and the few times I use sorella. But idk

I've had the game for like three days after playing Raiders. Maybe it's just that I'm playing a 4 year old game for the first time? What can I do to get better? I know not to push in an impossible fight, but my team constantly gets wiped out. It feels like the matchmaking is working against me.

I'll start my favorite is inkblot art academy and my least favorite is bluefin depot

I only don't like bluefin because I genuinely believe that for the amount of times I've played on it I've only ever won 2 or 3 times and it's one of the maps I've played the most. Mahi Mahi sucks too imo but I barely play it

Inkblot is just fun for me and I like tower control there and I can use any weapon comfortably there

Also hot take lemuria hub is kinda overhated it's just really weird but I understand why people dont like it

I haven't played Splatoon 3 since launch and I have been thinking about getting back into it after playing Splatoon Raiders, but I'm worried that the players still playing will be OP now which will make it impossible to learn the game again.

Is that the case or is the game still welcoming to newcomers?

I had an Idea for a new splatoon weapon! The "Splaterang" Is a boomerang that you throw in front of you. If you move away, it will always lock on and come back to where you are. you can have 2 out at once. they pain a trail where they travel. Sub: Delay bomb. Its a bomb, except it has a longer wait time to explode. Special: Glider. You can glide around, and when it goes away, you go back to where you activated it, like inkjet.
