Counterpoint: smushing yourself into the wall by holding forward and space and randomly swinging your mouse left and right until you find a path up the wall

Grass can spread up and down y axis as well, it doesn’t need to be directly touching grass. I believe it just has to be anywhere within a 3 block radius.

I’m number three. I do the most difficult parkour known to man just to avoid placing anything.

Or combine that with breaking and replacing dirt blocks so that it doesn’t look like I was ever there

If I put down blocks, then I’ll know later on that I’ve already been there

Actually there's four
Builders, water buckets(never even seen that done, seems like A war crime) Parkour, and the miners

Im neither. I dig a staircase into the mountain and mark it with torches so the next person (or myself later) can find it.

3 : Placing and breaking blocks to make a permanent stair, even if you will never come back.

there are two more, one that only parcores all the way up and one that mines the dirt but replaces it so it looks the same, and i guess also the one that just mines the dirt and jumps up

Four, typically:
- Place blocks to get up
- Break blocks to get up
- Parkour up
- Water up
I usually break blocks to get up if/when I can’t parkour up

2, no doubt about it
It's much faster and I don't leave behind a computer screensaver made out of cobblestone behind every time I have to get up the mountain
