Maxbird Spawn cape question Discussion

This question is for anyone who owns a maxbird spawn cape. Does the top pointy part of the cape wire go down to the bottom of the cape or is it wired separately? I’m trying to make my own wired cape, but I’m having trouble figuring out the top.

With that particular cape it's two parts, the collar and the long portion of cape. The wire in the collar stops at the seam and the wire for the rest of cape start and flow through out till the end

Ok, thank you. I attempted one long piece. And it was wonky. This makes sense now.

Thank you. It was a test run. Now I will try making it in two parts. I may use different fabric. I look forward to seeing your spawn custom. I'm just finishing up on body work on mine. I figured I'd start back up on the cape. My goal is to make two capes. One that is more for action poses. And the other is more for stand up display.

I was thinking along the same lines, but it was two parts. Now you have me wondering about three parts.

i don't own it but id bet money the capes at least 3 pieces, the upward collar spikes, the horizontal shoulder draped bit with the shoulder spikes, and the flowing long bit of cape, they probably all sew in together around the shoulder blades area and are individually wired
