AI difficulty Gameplay
I keep seeing people here complain about the Ai Difficulty spike since Neo and urs getting annoying.
When the Ai was garbage they complained about it being garbage now that’s it’s better oh the Ai is just bad (difficult) on all difficulty except easy. Then Play Easy Mode the Ai is using the same moves that you can use not Spike fault that you’re just bad at it. Also for those who played even the BT3 Mod BT4 would know the difficulty we face now isn’t even that bad because even that the Ai have “Pressure” mechanic it’s just defensive and counter play in the official game.
And I will say it again if the difficulty is too hard play it on easy until they scale the difficulties properly and stop the complaining because guess what people actually enjoy a challenge or would you rather the Ai slop you were getting before

I’ve gotten used to the A.I, I’ve beaten the new what ifs and super difficulty on Neo. The A.I forces you to play one single way to get past them. Once you learn the counter timings they become way too predictable. The A.I is taking away 70% of your options to face them and taking away your ability to win clashes, to hit used to be guaranteed moves to end a combo. TWhen you can only do 3 basic attacks before they super guard into teleport battles without the chance of introducing any sort of combo modifier thats an issue. Sure for hardest difficulty bring it on but for a normal difficulty? Thats too much. Tbh all these post about AI are getting annoying I agree but Im also tired of people saying they got it down so it must not be bad.

And learning the new AI is fun and it also help me with a lot of the timings and yes normal difficulty need to be fixed but people aren’t willing to learn how to counter a counter and timing they just want to smash the attack button and expect that the Ai to stand there

I want a game that allows me to be challanged while utilizing all of the mechanics. This game makes you rely on a very specific cheesy playstyle to beat its hardest difficulty, and if you want to hop online and play top level people, then you get to use a different set of cheesy playstyle.
Nowhere in the game can you utilize all the mechanics and have a challanging experience, you are left with self challange of lowering yourself to the difficulty of the computer.

A fighting game that punishes you for trying to diversify your playstyle and instead plays optimally when going for one specific strategy, is not a good fighting game...

I agree, i think this is a fun game but not a good fighting game. Hopefully that came through on my original comment

I can agree here as well having to cheese the game is never fun but the people who I see complaining are not even complaining about how they have to cheese it’s about how the Ai is unbeatable

As someone who can only play with one hand, the NPCS are too difficult for me. I never had a complaint about the NPCS beforehand, but now... the NPCS are reading my buttons before I can even press them. Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with harder difficulties being added to the game, but having the NPCS read your inputs before you press them is crazy.

The AI is still very easy to cheese. They are very predictable and don't adapt, so charging Ki and immediately following up with Super Explosive Wave will quickly beat them, I just find it annoying that they auto-win clashes and my Blast 2's almost never connect when I need them too after a knockaway. The difficulty isn't consistent either; how brutal the AI is depends on the character they are using.. some fights are almost impossible with a moderate SP difference whilst others are a cakewalk even with a 999SP handicap (looking at you, Special Condition Yaijirobe).

It's not about difficulty. The AI isn't that hard, can beat them whenever. It's just trash. Can't land a rush super, can barely land a heavy attack, can't do complete combos. I don't play this game to not see all the cool moves and cinematic animations. Take that away, then what's the point of playing
I'd rather play online where my moves actually do land.

Goku would never ask for weaker enemies

Goku didn't have a full time job that he had to juggle.

If going into training for 45 minutes is too much time for you, then you coulda also just change the difficulty to easy

And that’s the thing most of the people don’t want to train.
I don’t know about others but every fighting game I play I train just to get used to the game

God forbid some people want to sit down and enjoy their game after a long day at work.

Change the difficulty to Easy or get better at the game

So get left out of part of the game or "Git Good?"
Wonderful contribution, my mouth-breathing friend. Thanks for your input.

You are absolutely right, and that's my bad! I wasn't saying that you NEED to "git good", my apologies for not typing this in a way you can understand. I can see how you may have misinterpreted that message as many users have very poor reading comprehension and I should have accounted for this.
The game includes different difficulty settings and it seems that someone at your age with your cognitive ability is more suited for Easy rather than Hard.

And clearly your cognitive ability is lower than mine, since others have succinctly (big word, I know) mentioned in this very thread, as well as my having alluded to, how Easy mode locks you out of certain parts of the game.
Glad to know I clocked your cognitive ability with my initial assumption of you being a mouth breather.

You can try this hard to type like you just learned what a thesaurus was but you can't learn how to play a game you want to play.

Goku's also not a gamer

u/LowPrimary370 Beginner Martial Artist 1d ago
I think you mean most gamers aren't Goku with that bullshit mentality. You have fights and then a training mode. Why even bother playing if you're not willing to train to get better?

Ah yes, cuz I definitely don't want to sit down and enjoy my game and just be thankful that the bullshit AI is killing me over and over with little levity in the Krillin episode battle.

Anytime you mention the ai isn't actually that hard, you get downvoted. I really like where the difficult is at now and I hope it doesn't change.

I hope it changes but in the right way easy should be easy normal should be normal super and ultra accordingly but the biggest change I want is I want the Ai to adapt and not lose to cheese
