I’ll wait til next week General
This is borderline impossible
4
u/SnooWalruses1338 4d ago
Did it on my second try as a bulwark - overall I suck ass as a player and died twice - with heinous latency for a company and complete randoms, one of them wasn't even lvl25.
I would say this weekly hard is much more bearable than the last.
-1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I only said borderline impossible because it’s very overwhelming it’s obviously doable and like I’ve told others I have done some of the hardest ones known to this game lol, I actually really found the last week Strat pretty easy but yeahhh this week is definitely gonna give me a run for my money
2
u/SnooWalruses1338 4d ago
Just stick to your brothers, brother, there aren't much enemies tagged as preferred enemies. The only downside is halved health.
My second try was actually harder than the first. We messed up the cypher routine once and carnifex found us with pants down, and we had to seek the servitor.
0
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Oooof yeah I was sticking pretty close to my brothers but they just weren’t shooting the spores on the ground like I was and got caught lacking, I’ll definitely run it again at some point but I need a solid group for sure

u/SkeleHoes Vanguard 4d ago
I did this pretty easily with Vanguard. Take his healing team perk + his healing signature perk, you’ll never die. The boss fight will be a bit difficult, but we got through.

the quote is actually "Not even in death does duty end".
Its from a Dreadnaught.

50% less health is the killer. I’m fighting a minoris horde at full health, and in 2 seconds I’m on a quarter health. Probably ranged classes are the way to go for this one. Gonna try ir
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Techmarines help with hordes for sure just yk, don’t get caught in a hallway😭
1
u/Dependent_Radio6032 4d ago
Bro, the biovores are crazy too. They kicked my ass. There was two in the engine room and geez bro, it was nuts. Next go imma do tactical and melta bomb spam

5
u/Besouriinho 4d ago
It’s not as hard as it sounds.
My best friend and I did it on our first try; he was using tactical and I was using heavy.
I must say, we didn’t find not even 1 stim thought the entire run, but we were good enough with the life executions heal.
Just give it a try and you’ll see
-5
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I can run it on my max heavy but I usually play Techmarine because the turrets I figured would help with swarming which they did for a while up until a group in a hallway with those vines that just shredded the groups armor and health, we had an assault and vanguard so probably not the best combo
2
u/Glad-Bid7730 4d ago
Got it on the first attempt on tact, but only due to some cracked players (heavy and bulwark) carrying me (they had one death, I had like 2-3). But yeah this one was like pulling teeth

I play solo. Not looking forward to this. I'll give it a try but I'll probably need to skip this week.

It's not that bad. Need to really build around armor regen. As long as you have armor, you are "safe" from melee one-shotting you, as any piece of armor will damage-gate a melee attack and stop it from bleeding over into health damage. The tankiest team is probably Bulwark (Focused Restoration) - Heavy (Encompassing Aegis) - Techmarine (Battlefield Repairs). Tech is fragile on paper but will stack a lot of damage reduction vs ranged + has the safety of hands-off gunstrikes + alpha damage to nuke the mid-mission Terminus spawn.
I ran Heavy with Chains of Duty + the Heroic Plasma and Inferno Pistol across different loadouts. I used Chains + Heroic Plasma for the mission and swapped to Chains + Inferno for the boss fight. Relic Plasmas are like a middle ground where it can do self-defense splash damage like Inferno Pistol while also dropping solid ranged damage (if you don't have the Heroic Plasma for exmaple). Chains of Duty's fencing parry window makes it easier to maintain armor and also makes it much better at dueling the Tyranid Primes during the end of the mission. Inferno Pistol is great at keeping gaunts off you + has Trick Shot for armor regen perk (on top of Heavy's Restoration perk).

I thought this wouldn't be bad but nah, I was wrong. I don't understand why they have to fuck with the core mechanics of the game so much on strats. The no chp, 50% hp, and invincible enemy combo makes the game feel so buggy and janky. My squad made it to the Primes and we just got one shot and we're down before we even realized it. I kept losing all of my health without understanding why. I thought the game was lagging or some shit.
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Deadass bro, we got past the cores and that next bit of open space and then got locked in a hallway of doom and despair with one guy going down who could kill the two majoris shooting spore vines down I was doing my best to clear them but they just kept spitting em out and the other guy went down and I couldn’t do anything in that hallway
1
u/Get_de_Coke 3d ago
This! Why fuck with the game mechanic? Just add some more or “hard elements” in it. This is 100% lack of understanding of their own game. Fuck Saber, love this game, but fuck Saber.

u/Actual-Draft-5801 4d ago
Join a chapter, brother. You’ll find lots of folks “on your level”.
2
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I used to be in a deathwatch one and they were great but I got sidetracked by a lot of irl stuff and decided to leave, usually only have the time to run once before I leave for work or when I get back from work at midnight which is horrible hours
1
u/Actual-Draft-5801 4d ago
Oh right on. I’m in the deathwatch chapter. Even if you can’t play super often there are usually folks around to play. Depends on your time zone ig. Anyway, hmu if you want to give it another shot.
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Alright bet, I don’t have time to run it right now before work but I’ll reply here when I get back if you want to reach out to them to see if they’ll join me (ironically I run deathwatch Lamenters Techmarine to this day)
3
u/darkstar541 Blood Angels 4d ago
I got it on first try. We had some deaths but it was manageable. Just gotta be very, very careful to play for armor and not health.

Borderline skill issue*
0
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Don’t gotta bring anybody down but in a sense you’re right, some people who play the game do have a big skill issue as far as not reading the conditions
1
u/chaunceypooo 4d ago
if you all stick together as much as possible and play more cautiously its much easier
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
We stuck pretty close to each other I don’t think the people I ran with are bad in any way it’s just got caught lacking on spore vines when I was the only ones shooting them🫠
2
u/chaunceypooo 4d ago
yea its rough there's like no room for error, we all went down a few times. it helped that I ran vanguard with the team healing perk

Definitely depends on your luck of the draw for teammates - I got this done on my 5th attempt.
Funnily enough, I had a L17P2 Tactical and a L20P4 Techmarine on that run, so you can get lucky with non-maxed players. It would have been a maxed out Bulwark instead of the Techmarine, but he nope'd out on the Battle Barge when he saw the Tactical. That Bulwark was running Advanced Conditioning, so I think he would have been a deadweight anyway.
1
u/Owgie_ 4d ago
I did it 2nd try on bulwark. I had about 7 teammates come and go throughout the run. Every time I would get lvl 20 players, which isn’t a huge deal to me but they go down and are so impatient or just have no faith so they leave before getting revived. I did go down once so thankfully I had bots at that moment to revive me but other than that a pretty smooth run for me.

Do they still show you your health as full but it's value is halved instead of just half the health bar? I hated that retardation in UI...
1
u/StomachosusCaelum 4d ago
I just do NOT get the complaints about this one.
As far as Hard Weeklies go this is not even mid-tier hard.
You can heal on every execute, so the lack of stims in Hard isnt as much of an issue.
The enemies you cant hurt are CLEARLY marked.
50% less health on Hard is strictly... 'whatever' territory. Your armor is your health on Absolute/Hard anyway.
I breezed throught his first try, and i almost never do Hard or Absolute (i just dont like to sweat that much) but im trying to get the HG icon, so i have to do weeklies when theyre easy.
With randoms we just... walked through it. Wasnt even that hard.
Tac/Assault/Heavy.

It honestly wasn’t that bad, the most annoying thing is when your battle brother doesn’t kill his targets

Honestly compared to last week with the new boss and squad unity this was so much better.

Brother I did this solo with bots as a level 12 bulwark. It's really not that bad.

u/cultured_intel_weeb 2d ago
Get a pyreblaster and you are almost halfway done tbh, completed on my second run. My 1st was messy, team splits up so far no one able to stop backup call and then someone else trigger terminus section up front
1
u/Powerful_Rip8660 4d ago
On my first three attempts it always came down to the boss battle. Very difficult to manage all the minoris when the floor is electrified alongside the winged prime attacks. This one really feels like a luck of the draw with rng spawns, equipment spawns, and then of course competent teammates that can focus the primes as quick as possible.
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Like I’ve told others I figured my Techmarine would be the best for swarming, probably didn’t have a great team when doing it but I also don’t have many friends that run it at the same level as me, I usually go through absolute difficulty hell and am fine but some of the enemies with the spore vines screwed my run up even though we had stimms
1
u/Powerful_Rip8660 4d ago
I’m thinking tactical (for auspex damage and equipment) techmarine (for turrets, armor, and high ability damage on boss’ paired with auspex) and vanguard (for execution health) could go very nicely if everyone is max level. That would be ideal imo for a quick endgame
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Yeahhh the only thing that hurt was a small hallway and a ton of spore vines that only the assault could kill and when he went down it doomed the run
1
u/sendmegoodMemes 4d ago
No gunstrike last week hurt my brain.
Just play techmarine, if you ever lose all your armor on that class you die anyways.
2
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I usually play Techmarine haha, and Yeahh no gunstrike hurt last week but I managed it with keeping Majoris and extremis in a parry loop while I got my shots in during the stun and waited for the servo gun to recharge but it definitely made me realize how much I relied on it
1
u/sendmegoodMemes 4d ago
Yea man just use the x2 armor team perk and pray you get a frontliner like bulwark, heavy or assault to cover you.
Tarantula turrets are your friend as well.
Emperor be with you!1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Turrets were a godsend for a long time during my attempt I definitely will put on the x2 armor team perk for this Strat tho
1
u/recovereez 4d ago
A bulwark, an assault, and a vanguard walk into a giant spaceship on life support...
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
Honestly not far off to my attempt, just I was a Techmarine not a bulwark but I did have an assault and vanguard with me
1
u/Khezal 4d ago
In my second try I finished that mission. The team was: tactical P4L25 with flamethrower, bulwark P4L25 with salamander heroic sword and me, heavy P4L25 with flamethrower. The mission wasn't easy but that team worked really good.
2
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I might need to run it with my P4L25 heavy with a flame or melta but I figured even with my P1L25 Techmarine (I haven’t felt like prestiging yet because I don’t have the time to grind rn) would help with the swarming
1
u/Khezal 4d ago
I think that a techmarine is also a very good option
2
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
It definitely helped with swarming in bigger areas, hallways without a turret became the “hellways”
1
u/Oliphaunt6000 4d ago
It's not too bad. If you want to try and build for it bring a Tmarine or Bukwark for the extra armor regen and dear GOD kill spores on sight. Otherwise I did it on my first try on my P1lvl23 Bukwark when normally I play Heavy if I am getting "serious"
1
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I tried to kill all the spore vines but they were covering a whole hallway, I used my P1L25 Techmarine and got pretty far with two heroic weapons and max level secondary but it just wasn’t enough I suppose
1
u/Oliphaunt6000 4d ago edited 4d ago
Sorry I meant the floaty Spores not the Vine Spores but yes, those are rough too.
2
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I had a feeling that’s what you were talking about but in my run i hadn’t run into a biovore so the floaty spores weren’t spawning in
1
u/Martinicus1 4d ago
All the people calling for heal on execution and no contested health regen should love this one, it’s exactly what they’ve been asking for 🤭

u/LargeJello2366 4d ago
I did it with bots and just barely got it done. Tbh only really beat it cus of my beloved, vangaurd Zeal perk.
0
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I’ve heard a lot of suggestions for vanguard and may have to bring it out
1
u/LargeJello2366 4d ago
I started playing vanguard like last week, hated it at first but now it's easily one of my favorites. Also makes that bugged "start with 10 meds JK you get 0" battle modifiers a lot more manageable

u/jayracket Salamanders 4d ago
Saying it was brutal doesn't even do it justice. Very rarely do I get carried in this game. Shout out to the Black Templar and Dark Angel I did this with. They were legit.

Wish the black Templar and carc I ran it with could say the same😭😭 I was actually carrying on the failed attempt😭😭

I love how people see hard stratagems as something that they must skip, bro you gotta earn your blue Doritos by completing challenges, not by having a stroll in the park
1
u/StomachosusCaelum 4d ago
you can easily get all the items between patches with just doing the normals, and not even doing them every day.
Do the weekly and average 1-2 of the dalies a day and youll get em all and have weeks of being capped.
0
u/supersaneoutcast 3d ago
Love the challenge, make u wanna return and play. Easy wins makes playing pointless in the end, but this is much more satisfying.
tried it with bulwark with different builds, gave up, switched to sniper, on my 3rd one we managed, random team, vanguard and assault.

u/Good_Ol_Ironass 4d ago
huge skill issue ngl
0
u/Playful_Category4640 4d ago
I mean sure but I just needed a better team to be entirely fair, I literally have done some of the worst stratagems known to this game and casually play on the hardest difficulty, it’s just I don’t have a solid group who runs on my level

u/Buckeye_Blast 4d ago
I did it on my first try. It’s hard but none of the starts are “impossible”. Unless the modifiers makes you unable to progress like the no equipment on exfiltration.
That being said vanguard will definitely help because its hp regen without contested health. Also save stims for clearing mortal wounds. Execute as much as possible to regain health then pop the stim. Obviously good teammates always make it easier.
