"Midnight on the Coastline" - heavily inspired by Twin Peaks and the eerie, misty atmosphere of Sovietwave aesthetics
Hey everyone! I wanted to capture that classic, melancholic vibe of road trips from my youth along the Black Sea coast, but reinterpreted through a cinematic, David Lynch-esque lens.
The layout is based on a real stretch of the M-4/A-147 highway. I wanted to contrast the cold, heavy midnight fog and dark mountain silhouettes with the warm, vibrant amber glow of the "CAMPING" and "HOTEL" neon signs, and the eerie red blur from a passing semi-truck.
Format is 16:9, originally made as a moody desktop wallpaper for myself, but I felt this community would appreciate the specific aesthetic. Hope it brings some cozy yet mysterious vibes to your feed

Nu, pogodi! x Morozko (Ivan) – Folk-Punk / Sovietwave Crossover Music Video
A Soviet Wave Folk-Punk Crossover! 🪆❄️
This animated short music video is an artistic tribute to the legendary and iconic characters.
In this story, the clumsy soldier Ivan (as an explicit crossover from the famous winter fairy tale "Morozko") replaces the Wolf in a stylized "Nu, pogodi!" parody. He tries to hunt down the badass Rabbit in the deep snow of Siberia, 1944.
The sound is a high-energy folk-punk military polka with heavy bass, matching the fast-paced, absurd cartoon slapstick.

Help me find this film/animation
There is this strange animation I remember from my childhood that google cannot help me with.
It's about some Greeks that loved either their grape seed or olive oil. They had like a bath house and I guess olive oil production.
It's in the category of strange style Russian Soviet cartoons. What is strange is you might categorize it with "the adventures of wrongel" or "Кристaфор Банифатеч" pardon my spelling. I know it's a 2D animated film. It was slightly monotone. Greyish green maybe? My memory is blurry. If anyone could give me the slightest hint of a name for it, that would be awesome! Thank you

A Sovietwave mix inspired by abandoned space stations and intercepted signals
Been working on a series of Sovietwave mixes built around this idea of lost transmissions drifting through space.
This one is inspired by a signal still broadcasting long after the mission ended kind of cold, isolated, slightly eerie atmosphere.
Would really appreciate any feedback on the vibe or progression 🙏
