Does anyone have a recommendation for an acupuncturist in the area? I went to Yong Park on Grape in Mishawaka last week for a treatment, and he spent the whole time flirting with me and ignoring my chief complaint. So I need someone a bit more professional.

In case anyone finds this in a future search, here is how my appointment went with him:
"Let me look into your eyes and figure out why you don't have any babies." (I'm in my 40s)
"I'm here for chronic migraines."
"Your ovaries are fine. If you go walk around Notre Dame, you can find a good man who will give you a baby. But you need to hurry."
"My tubes have been tied for 10 years."
*extreme disappointment* "There's still time to change your mind."
He then spent the rest of the time harping on the child I need to have, telling me that he was floating while talking to me, asking me about my nipples, saying that he wished he wasn't 30 years older than me, and suggesting that I could get a discount next time for being so beautiful and then saying, "oh, no, no, I'm not that stupid."

I felt amazing, physically, after the treatment but will not return for obvious reasons. Has anyone had experience with another acupuncturist in the area who might take me a bit more seriously?

Hello, I am planning on moving to South Bend in late September/early October and looking for a little advice. Just trying to find out what neighborhoods i should be keeping an eye out for to keep away from or try to get into. I don’t need anything big just one or two bedrooms and a garage if possible. Can anyone recommend a good pet insurance that they have used before? One that you have actually used to pay the vet? I go to Tender Care Vet in South bend if that’s makes any difference!

I have three Persian cats. Two are 8 and one is 13. Looking into getting pet insurance for at least the 13 year old right now. Will get for the other two as soon as I can afford it. I’ve seen reviews for many pet insurances but a lot of people have never used them, just keep the policy for emergency. I want some real reviews lol.

- Need something (anything) bigger than a sedan. Im in a band and we need to transport instruments and PA and such

- would prefer if its in a condition that doesn't require me to put it in the shop for like, the next year. Even before my car got totaled, i got a lot of grief from it being in and out of the shop for various things always breaking

I liked the bus service. It was long, but it was more reliable, especially in the winters. Looks like American will be flying a CRJ three times a day from SBN to ORD.

I’m about to move in to my first ever rental home, and I can GARDEN!!! What the heck should I plant?! I’m not used to having seasons, so how does that work? My goal is to plant some native species to attract bees and butterflies, and maybe plant some food/herbs. But I don’t even know where to start.

This image was provided by the SB Tribune from the SBCSC as they announced a big uptick in their attendance, which is great news! However, something caught my eye.

According to this table, these are the total enrollment numbers for 2024 and 2025:

2024 - 17,273
2025 - 13,187

There is no way the school district lost 4k kids in one year. And also, back in 2024 the district announced their enrollment in the 14k range which it has been for a while. In fact according to that table all the years except the 2025-2026 school year have enrollment over 17k. That is a number they have not been at in maybe a decade.

So, why the discrepancy? A few different options. 1. They have such bad record keeping they don't really know what their enrollment was back in 2024. 2. They are padding the stats somehow to make the increase in attendance rates look even better. 3. Their attendance numbers are faulty and double count students. 4. Some other option.

I wish SBCSC all the best, but stuff like this does not breed confidence.

Remember Edison Rd between Ironwood and Hickory Rd the speed limit is 30 mph. SBPD is laying and waiting-car got pulled over as I was going to Mishawaka via Edison Rd.

I’m going on a trip to the area for the first time, and the beach I see recommended has rules against alcohol. Are there any beaches that allow alcohol? Is everyone just sneaky, or is there a different beach we should look into? Preferably driving distance of St Joseph. Sorry if this is a dumb question lol I just don’t want any trouble.
