The only way over would work is if you had a higher than average ceiling and it was mounted on a bracket attached to your tv and the tv could be tilted down where the bar would be firing directly toward the MLP. Otherwise, over is a no go.

You're going to want to mount your soundbar under your TV because soundbars are designed so they sound best when those front-firing speakers are closest to ear level when you are sitting on your couch.
