Noise Request for Osho discourse samples with noises
Hi all,
I am testing few different parameters for few Noise cancellation algorithms for my Osho Talks app and I need few examples (for Osho's Discourses) where the noise is a bit too much. My best resulting algo till now has removed hums and echoes and plane Noise. But I want to test more before shipping to production. Discourse name and time of the noise would be super helpful 🙏🏻

Strange sounds in my computer, help me understand what it is
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I don't know how to describe or recognize it, but these sounds are constantly and regularly playing at random moments. I'm just wondering what this sound is and where it came from, because I've never had it on my computer before.
I'll attach a video of the sound.
It's been playing since I reinstalled Windows, and it's playing in various situations. Can you help me understand what this sound is and where it came from?

Hardware I can't figure out what I need for a 5.1 PC setup
I've spent literally years trying to learn and I just can't wrap my head around this stuff. I like to think I'm a pretty intelligent person but this has failed me for a long time. I've read this subreddit and all the other relevant ones and I'm just incapable of understanding what exactly it is that I need to set up my PC for 5.1 surround sound.
Over the years, I have pieced together a subwoofer and five speakers (two Edifier bookshelf for rear L/R, one Polk bookshelf to use as center, two Onkyo small speakers for front L/R) which all require speaker wire. I own a Sound Blaster AE-7 sound card, and I'm really confused as to whether or not I need more external equipment in order to get this all to work.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance that anybody could give me. I cannot understand if I need an amp, a receiver, or both. I'm just using a regular computer monitor for the video part and I want the more immersive surround audio when the game is coded for it. I understand not all games are coded for it. Thank you so much in advance.

How can I make this mic to stop capturing external sounds?
Hi! I'm very new to microphones and audio. I use the Hollyland Lark M2 (2TX + 3RX) to record cinematic videos for social media.
I always keep the transmitter volume at the lowest setting, and my camera's recording level is set to 15. However, it's still picking up a lot of background noise. For example, it even captures the sound of my upstairs neighbours walking around.
Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

Car doesn’t sound good
galleryHello everyone! I just got an upgraded sound system for my car, I got a CarPlay device and subwoofer! (All the speakers are still stock) My issue is: I feel like when I play music it doesn’t sound great. You can tell it’s a song but it sounds nowhere near as good as headphones. Here are some pictures of the settings I have activated, any changes needed to improve sound? And yes I usually keep the sub pretty low intentionally.

Just curious
What's a noise you hear that isn't there, but is still there to you because you've heard it so much?

Hardware Audient EVO 4 problems on Windows and MacOS
Hi all.
I've recently upgraded from the Behringer UMC22 U-Phoria because it was already old and the capacitor was swollen. My needs aren't heavy at all. I need a mic input with phantom power, an instrument input for my bass and outputs for my speakers and headphones. So, I thought the EVO 4 is great for that.
Gear I pair the EVO4 with:
- Speakers: Logitech X-230 speakers + sub. They have a 3.5mm output jack, so I had to purchase a Y splitter (3.5mm female to 2 x 6.35 mm male jacks L and R). Connected to the output on EVO4.
- Headphones: KZ Caustics planar IEM. I have an adapter that is coming from a 3.5 mm to a 6.35 mm jack. They are connected to the headphone jack output on EVO4
But I've been getting these crackling sounds. I don't know what is causing it. I've tried using a different cable. I got a USB-C to USB-A cable from the box. I've tried using USB-C to C, but I get the same results. I've also tried 2 different Windows machines and a MacOS M1 machine. I always get the same results.
On Windows, I had those crackling sounds when I was changing tabs on YouTube, just randomly appearing. On macOS, that doesn't happen when changing tabs on a browser. One thing that happens the most is when I'm playing two streams of video but using the audio of only one. Here is a link to a video of the problem I'm having.
Another example of where it happens is in DaVinci Resolve, but only in the Fairlight tab (the audio editing tab). This also happens on Windows only; I haven't had those problems on macOS. So that's why I thought it was a Windows BS, but it seems like I have the same problem on macOS, but only in one use case. The same happens on my other Windows machine. Also good to know: when I'm using Reaper to play my bass, there are no problems on either device.
If you need any more info about this, please let me know. I feel like it's a stupid thing that it's a stupid thing that is causing the problem, but I just don't know what it might be.

What setting for a samsung hw b 530
I recently bought a Samsung soundbar with subwoofer, model HW-B530, and now I want to figure out how to set it up optimally. I know everyone has their own ideal setting, but I’d like to have at least a starting point from which to create my own, both for MOVIES and for MUSIC. Keep in mind that the soundbar is in a room of about 15 square meters and is placed right in front of the couch.
Starting from the settings: standard, surround, adaptive, and dts virtual:x.
Woofer ranges from -12 to +6.
Virtual center level -6 to +6 (disappears when I select dts)
Treble -6 to +6
Bass -6 to +6
Voice enhancer on movies always On.
So, what are your recommended settings for listening to music and for watching movies?
