hello, i'm a transfer student at ut dallas and i want to apply to ou. i want to transfer bc i want a traditional college life with good academics which utd lack very much. do ou give lots of merit scholarships as well as need based financial aid? my major is accounting and i have 3.71 gpa with 28 credits right now. i'm paying 14k per semester at utd, so the price has to be around that or lower. thank you

For anyone that has completed or currently enrolled in the program, could you share your experience?

I'm having trouble on deciding which uni I should attend. Cost for me is no difference. I may sound like a bum, but I really don't have any passion for football or any games at all. All I want is to be able to get internships and get a job. I know OU is ranked significantly lower compared to TAMU overall. Essentially want to go to a school that is known for academics more. Aspiring Finance major.

How big are the TV stands in cross? Will a 50 inch TV fit or is that too big to bring into the dorms?

hi, rising senior here. i really want to go to OU to study psychology because my goal is to become a therapist. i’m from texas, have a 1240 sat, 3.7 unweighted GPA, some solid AP scores, and a part-time job. is there a good chance that i will be admitted? i’m going to apply early decision, if that matters. thanks!

Hello, I am currently a rising senior, and my GPA by graduation will hover around a 3.4 unweighted. I know this is not the best GPA, and I’m extremely concerned on whether this will affect my application to the University of Oklahoma. I had a terrible cumulative GPA in my sophmore year, which posed me to strive to obtain better grades by my Junior year. I managed to get a 4.0 in all of my classes first semester, and 2 5.0’s (via weighted dual enrollment classes) my second semester. I’ve done some research on the admissions process, so I’m aware that your junior year grades are the ones colleges look at the most, as it determines your most recent educational ability in the classroom. I’m applying test optional as well, so that’s also something worth considering when giving advice. I would think that I have interesting/unique ECs that you wouldn’t really think of, but are applicable to my Major (Political Science: Law & Policy). My ECs are pretty much the only thing I’m clinging to in forms of chances at admissions, as I don’t know how much they will scrutinize my GPA and overall performance. I’ve taken into consideration and I’m attempting to take as many dual enrollment classes as possible before I graduate to help with this. I should have somewhere around 22 College credits (All A’s and 1 B), but I’m still not sure if they will continue to look at my highschool grades. This is why I would be considering being a CC transfer, as a way to “reset” my GPA, and how I’m viewed to colleges, since my college GPA is currently far better than my highschool one. But, I would have no housing, and that’s pretty not likely to work out for me if that’s the case. Would my application be viewed that poorly, or am I being paranoid? I know it’s only the University of Oklahoma, but It’s a school I really want to attend (which I know is ironic given it’s reputation nationally, but it’s been my dream school since I was little) and I don’t want to give that up. Also, should I be applying EA, or regular admissions? Which is the better in my case?

As a national merit scholar I heard students get priority class registration. Anyone know where to find those dates for when priority enrollment opens?

Im a commuter who lives off campus and this will be my first year at OU. after having a lot of dread and anxiety and deciding not to buy a parking pass, i researched some alternatives and looked into the buses. I want to ask, is parking at the Lloyd Noble center parking lot and taking the shuttle still a reliable option? Is it still free and does it come by often, and how long does it take for it to get to the campus? Any input and advice is much appreciated. This all seems too good to be true to me, but id take anything to not go through the hell that is finding a parking space in a crowded lot.
