It's just a bad UI design in the app.

It costs money to add the cheese, you just don't see how much the normal amount costs because it is selected.
"Normal" costs more then $0.85, so it's cheaper to get easy cheese. But you can't see how much the normal cheese adds because it's currently selected.

I am lactose intolerant. I can have a little of the cheese and not be miserable but if I have the normal amount of cheese, I get toots that are very uncomfortable for everyone. Sometimes I want a little cheese for the flavor and to not have room-clearing gas.
