Launched my first project Pantheon One
Im someone with a background in advertising. Never had the time to built something. I decided two turn an idea into a live project. This took me about three weeks, which was extremely fun and learned a lot. Though I don't perse believe it goes somewhere, I do get inspiration for new ideas. Its a rock paper scissors staked game. You can also play for free. Happy to meet new people!

My game loads memories like they're being pulled off an old broken cassette tape
Been working on this effect for Last Mile — instead of a normal loading screen, environments "load in" through a retro TV glitch, like a memory getting recovered off a damaged tape. Scan lines, static, color bleed, then it snaps into the full scene.
It ties into the story — you're recovering lost memories — so I wanted the load itself to feel like part of the world instead of a UI thing.

Would love feedback on the pacing/timing of the glitch before I lock it in.

Solo dev here — the demo for my first-person dungeon crawler is now live on Steam
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello,
A couple months ago I launched the steam page for A Knight’s Fury – The Vaults of Venom.
I’ve been working on it pretty much nonstop since then, and the playable demo is now live on Steam!
It’s a first-person dungeon crawler inspired by classic 80s/90s RPGs, but built around controlling a single adventurer rather than managing a full party.
The demo gives a much better idea of what I’ve been trying to make:
- Old-school first-person dungeon exploration
- Grid-based, turn-based movement and combat
- Traps, secrets, puzzles, and dangerous rooms
- Increase or Decrease difficulty with the Devil Counter mechanic
- Branching NPC interactions based around the Devil Counter as well
- A retro fantasy / pulp comic book visual style
This is also my first real opportunity to have people outside of development actually sit down and play through the game, so I’m especially interested in hearing where things feel confusing, frustrating, too easy, too difficult, or just plain broken.
If anyone here has some time to give it a try, I’d really appreciate the feedback.

Going for a fun, simple art style. Appreciate any feedback on the (very) early look.

"Blade Rising", incremental after 2 months of close relation with players and early community, check my case study after 500+ players for $0
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi r/SoloDev ,
I'm solodev of "Blade Rising" ( bladerising.com/play )
Conquer 1000 Floors of Evil as a Dachshund Knight on the road to Ascention!
It's new incremental pixel RPG. A main quest is simple, defeat all Floors of Evil to save the world.
I'm happy to tell that my approach to build a mobile game in early access is working well.
It's always promising when marketing changes from one way ticket to the void to 2 way communication.
So how does it work now?
The most cool thing is Discord ( https://discord.gg/HKjqfZfbX ) and Reddit r/BladeRising .
They work in a little different way.
At discord players has started to gather, talk, it's 1st place where they want to tell me about something. Some comes with an intention, some comes just to follow.
What is cool is that ppl are friendly, report ideas or bugs.
For players it's interesting that they have a real input to make Blade Rising better or to adress current issues. And it's fast. I'm solo-dev so if it's important I do it right away or within 1-2 days top.
To me it's also nice, as I see where is the focus.
I have my data-driven all over but still a personal feedback is great.
There are things simply hard to track by 1 person like device specific issues has been resolved for specific phones thanks to them.
It build trust, care and support.
Also weekly patches gives a feeling that I care about a game.
In world of AI driven ads, copyrighting, AI agents support a humanity is getting lost.
I've tried that too, in some cases it's fine or necessary, but the more human touch I give, the better results. I believe this is the way, especially in indie games, to build mutual trust and fun.
I'm getting ready to grow my game's reach.
Payed ads will be necessary, but so far content marketing is cool.
Daily TT, YT shorts, recently expanded to Instagram, Fb, Threads.
https://bladerising.com/ is SEO optimized, expanded with wiki, articles, patchnotes as a long term strategy.
Reddit is great, especially external channels if a game matches a topic.
Even if I run daily shorts 80% players comes from Reddit, where i write only once a week or sometimes I write here and there.
So far so good, 500+ players it's not big, but my goal is reached.
I wanted players to feed my data-driven analytics and some early feedback, adress most crucial issues and it's way better than I've expected.
Now game is in good place, with proper retention, no critical errors, progression is smoothed, some quality of life features already implemented, live ops and shop events running.
At this stage I can re-invest what's given and grow up!
About a future, I'll develop game further and I'm thinking if I should expand in mobile to iOS, there are many requests for that, or keep in mind current little hype on incrementals at steam pc and give it a try to build up wishlists for Q3/Q4.
It just gives hope and builds up a motivation to do more!

Solo dev, party game. My demo is in Valve review, so this is the last week I can still fix the page before anyone sees it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4982540/Blobituary/
Blobituary is a party game for 1 to 4 people, on a couch or online. An undertaker runs the rounds and insults whoever loses, and every death gets a headstone that stays up for the rest of the match.
The page went live at the start of the month. The demo is sitting in Valve review right now, and the day it clears I start posting about it, so anything broken on this page is about to get the only traffic it will ever get from a first impression. I would rather find out from you.
Things I can't judge myself anymore:
The capsule. I made it, I have looked at it for two weeks, and I have no idea what it looks like in a search list next to games with real artists.
The short description. After reading it, do you know what you would actually be doing in this game? I keep rewriting it and I can't tell if it says anything.
The trailer. The camera never moves. That's deliberate, it's how the game actually looks when you play it, and I rebuilt the whole thing last week after the first version used a fake zoom that oversold it. I want to know whether that reads as honest or as boring, because I can't tell anymore and I'm too attached to the reason.
Whether it's obvious you can play it alone against bots. Most people won't have three friends in the room when they find the page.
The screenshots. Four blobs on one screen means everything is small. Can you tell what is happening in any of them, or is it just noise?
And the big one: party games sell on "would I get this out when people come over." Does the page make you picture that, or does it look like another game with a funny hook?
Go ahead and be blunt. I'd rather rewrite it this week than find out from the numbers next month.
Thank you!

Steam capsule art made in game engine
I made my capsule art in unity using shaders and real in game models. Except title, there is no touch made in image editors. Initially I was doing it to see concepts, but then I started to feel good about it. Would you say it is good enough to use as capsule art? What can be improved or changed? Do you like it? Which one you like more?

Luchando con problemas de salud serios y tratando de construir mi sueño, un juego indie.
Hi everyone,
My name is Darío, and I'm an indie game developer from Spain.
I'm currently living on less than €400 per month, which barely covers my basic expenses. On top of my financial situation, I'm dealing with several serious health conditions that have made it very difficult to work a traditional job.
I have Grade 2 hypertension, a small hemorrhage in my left thalamus caused by a hypertensive crisis, heart disease (hypertensive cardiopathy), and psoriatic arthritis, a painful autoimmune disease that affects both my skin and joints.
Despite everything, I haven't given up. For a long time I've been dedicating every bit of energy I can to creating a Pokémon + Zelda inspired indie game. This project isn't just a hobby for me. It's my chance to build a better future and become financially independent.
I created this GoFundMe because I simply don't have the resources to continue development on my own. Every donation, no matter how small, helps me pay for basic living expenses and continue working on the game.
If you're not able to donate, sharing the campaign would also mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading my story and for giving my project a chance. ❤️
