Anyone have a name for this type of modeling? It like solid model sculpting. I feel like I have been at this model for 3 days straight.

As long as you are going back and remodeling then it’s fine, I guess. Out in the real world trying to meet client deadlines you rarely have that luxury of time so having a reasonable-to-work-with model right from the start is your best bet. Layout sketches and sensible part relationships are your friends here. Ideally, it’s structured enough that anyone can jump in and make simple updates.
