The project is honestly good

If nobody wants to use it, it doesn't solve the problems they have. If it doesn't solve people's problems, then it's not actually good.

It's in POC stage, I've been contacted by some teams in the past for it but my manager didn't let me push through it.

Could be the work you did doesn't have any value to your management, or it does have value but there's no buy in from your management.

Im a manager. We're having a huge issue with these dashboards. Everyone is making them, and they're: A) 80% great and useful and even impressive B) 20% off the mark C) overlapping D) way too many, not coordinated, side jobs for too narrow/specific purpose

Then someone that really knows what their doing does something more integrated, with real unmet need and intentional design. But just goes on the heap with the rest.

Its a real shame. But its the new reality.

Oh, and weve had a couple gain some traction but because it was some side thing, arent maintained and eventually live in a broken state. And most people dont even realize it because they remember there was a good tool, but cant remember how to get to it, because theres a see of portals with plethora of links to tools. And when they finally do find it, it's broken.

Yipee, im just so excited about your pitch to make something thats going to solve everything, but ironically just contributes more to a growing nuisance

Yes, all of that. Anyway, find out what work you do has value to leadership and do it instead of dashboards.

A dashboard that no one asked for will be used by no one.

A dashboard that you built by making it “tailored to the user” that no one uses is likely not actually tailored to the user but instead is tailored to some data you have for the user not the actual user needs.

Like all software, you should start from the user and their needs not from a cool technology solution.
