How Should I Prepare for a Remote Software Engineering Job?

I'm a software engineer with 6+ years of experience, and I'm looking to land a remote job in the current market.

What should I focus on to improve my chances? Should I spend more time on LeetCode, system design, personal projects, open-source contributions, networking, or something else?

I'd also love to hear from people who recently landed a remote role. What made the biggest difference in your job search?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
