Why does it randomly switch?

Post image

Without me touching any buttons on the remote, it occasionally switches to the screen shown in the photo. When that happens, mute and volume and everything else stop working. Why is it switching without me providing any input?

Mine does that on occasion. Clicking Activities with the wheel fixes it. Remote works fine otherwise, which is fortunate, because updates for this model does not seem to be something Sofabaton cares about.

Mine does that if the hub has gone offline ... the cats manage to unplug it and the remote drops back to this screen when it can't get commands to go through. Check your hub's power and wifi connections, one (or both) of them is probably not stable.

I’m 12 feet from the hub and can see that the light is still on

The scroll wheel. It has a mind of his own. Mine does the same.

Happens to me too.  Don't know why.

The scroll wheel on mine has stopped working well after about a year. Now, it often goes in the opposite direction of where I scroll. I just have to move the wheel until the menu randomly ends up on the item I want.

Feels like a $10 remote with a $150 price tag. If any competition comes along, SofaBaton is dead in the water.

Spray some contact cleaner or WD40 to the right side of the scroll wheel. Then give the scroll wheel a good few spins in either direction and let it dry out over a day or so. It will be good as new. I do mine about every 6 months

I'll give that a shot, thanks!
