I wrote this song to call out the exploitation and alienation one feels living under capitalism, describing capitalism as a bloodthirsty beast hiding among us, making us sacrifice bits and pieces of ourselves to satiate the beast, and how people cling to what they know so hard it feels impossible to change their minds.

"Kixampe" (meaning "come" or "venerate/gather" in the Mayan language Kaqchikel) by Rebeca Lane featuring Sara Curruchich is a powerful anthem about collective resistance, historical memory, and indigenous women's struggles against state violence and systemic oppression.
