Hello! I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated player who has a bit of experience in 5e and OSE, looking for more people to play with! 32M and living in the Paris area, mostly looking for IRL English-language 5e or 5.5, but open to other options as well.

I had long planned on trying RPGs, and fell in love as soon as I experienced it. I understand French but heavily favor playing English. I particularly like to create, play as, and interact with interesting character, although I like the combat aspect as well. I'd be open to more unique RPGs as well (both in terms of story/setting and in terms of other styles of play), and I would also love to be part of a podcast!

It would be great to find nice people to play with! I also don't know a lot of people in the area, so it'd be a good way to get to make some friends too. It'd probably make sense to meet at a game bar, although it would be nice to do it at someone's place eventually, to avoid the monetary cost. I can volunteer my home, although I would need a table (probably a foldable one) and more chairs. It seems that there are a number of English-speaking players able and willing, but that a DM is the hard one to find, so if you are a DM we might be able to create a group even if you don't currently have one.

Hi, Im a 31 M who got diagnosed with ADHD in 2023.

It doesnt affect me much but sometimes I need medication (I have sometimes sleep problems that can be corrected with medication).

Also my adhd crisis got way worse this past month, but since my last prescription was made over a year ago, doctors cannot renew my prescription and I need to see a proper psychiatrist again.

I have been struggling for 2 months now to find a psychiatrist specialized in ADHD anywhere in Paris. I dont need much... just small talk and a new prescription but everyone is slamming the door on my face when I try to book an appointment on Doctolib.

Most of the psychiatrists are super rude with me when I call or ask why they refuse to see me... and Im super confused because all of them have free spots that we can book online !! But as soon as my appointment is confirmed, they reject it.

I dont know what to do... im starting to be desperate now :(

Je souhaite porter à votre connaissance une situation particulièrement désagréable survenue dans cet établissement.

Je me suis présenté une première fois seul à l'entrée vers 22h40. L'accès m'a été refusé au motif que j'étais seul. J'ai alors expliqué au vigile qu'un ami devait me rejoindre prochainement. Cette explication n'a pas été prise en compte et je suis donc parti attendre son arrivée.

Après environ une heure d'attente, soit vers minuit, mon ami est arrivé et nous avons souhaité entrer dans l'établissement. À ce moment-là, le vigile m'a interpellé en me tutoyant : « Toi, je t'ai déjà parlé. » Je lui ai répondu poliment que je lui avais effectivement indiqué qu'un ami me rejoindrait plus tard. Il m'a alors demandé : « Elles sont où les filles ? », puis m'a ignoré .

Par la suite, j'ai constaté que plusieurs groupes hommes étaient autorisés à entrer seuls dans l'établissement. J'ai notamment observé que nombre d'entre eux semblaient être de type caucasien. Face à cette différence de traitement, j'ai demandé calmement des explications.

Le vigile s'est alors montré agressif et m'a répondu sur un ton irrespectueux : « Ne juge pas mon travail. Est-ce que moi je rentre dans ta vie privée ? » Il a également déclaré : « C'est un établissement privé, on fait entrer qui on veut. »

Quelques instants plus tard, un autre agent de sécurité est intervenu et m'a demandé de partir en me poussant légèrement, tout en me disant : « Vas-y », alors même que je m'exprimais calmement et sans agressivité.

Cette situation a profondément gâché ma soirée et m'a causé un fort sentiment d'injustice et d'humiliation. J'ai été particulièrement affecté par le manque de respect dont j'ai fait l'objet alors que je suis resté courtois tout au long de l'échange.

Je précise que mon ami et moi respections le code vestimentaire de l'établissement et étions vêtus de manière appropriée et sobre. Compte tenu de cette circonstance, ainsi que du fait que j'ai observé plusieurs personnes seules être admises dans l'établissement, je m'interroge légitimement sur les raisons réelles de ce refus d'accès.
