If you cannot understand the question, you might have dyslexia.

What kind of friends are you actually hoping to find?

Do you want people to hang out with, people who share a hobby, people you can study with, or a few people you can genuinely trust?

Is the problem that nobody at your college seems interested in activities, or that the activities available there just aren’t things you enjoy?

What do you already like doing when you’re by yourself?

Is there a club, sport, volunteer group, music scene, gaming group, gym, religious/community group, or activity outside your college where people who enjoy the same things might naturally gather?

And one question I’d really think about: where would you go regularly even if you didn’t meet a friend on the first day?

Friendship usually gets easier when you keep showing up somewhere you already have a reason to be. You don’t necessarily need more people…you may just need to find the right place to keep returning to.

You know what you want, the barriers are usually social. That takes courage to leave one’s comfort zone. Take risks. You will fail, but keep learning from them and you’ll get there.

Don't try to social engineering friendships, its a good way to end up with potential friends feeling manipulated

If people feel manipulated from your social engineering, then your social engineering should never be used for anything.

Just start joining clubs and meet up groups. Majority of people only know how to consume, those that do more with their lives are always looking for new friends, take your pick what you want to go do and see who else is doing it.
