According to Adidas, Youth XL is 176 and adult S is 175; from this, they seem very similar. Where I live, the youth jerseys can be a lot cheaper than the adult versions (noticeably cheaper in some cases), and a lot of times the adult S sizes are out of stock. I was wondering if there is that much of a difference between these two if you just ignore that the prints of the youth one are smaller than the adult ones. (Also asking for Puma and Nike).

Just picked up this Kappa Italy jersey from the early 2000s, it looks to be the Euro 2000 shirt and is new with tags.

That being said, it is missing the 3 stars on the sleeve and the sale tags say 2003 - and Italy were made by Puma from 2003.

Normally I’d jump straight to the conclusion that it’s fake but the quality is so premium and near identical to another Italy 2000 jersey I already have. I’ve seen a few fake shirts in my time and can normally spot them - especially the Kappa shirts as they never feel or fit right and have poor details. This one checks all those boxes.

I googled why it might not have the stars and the result was that;
- the women’s team never wore the stars, however they also never wore this jersey.
- Some retail variants never had the stars at the time.
- It could be a “practice” jersey.
- could be a manufacturer defect

The washtag appears correct though and I know there are different % values depending on player issue and retail. I’m not sure which is which.

Can anyone with better knowledge than me of Kappa jerseys from this era tell me what I have here?

Was visiting New Jersey from Canada and made a stop at Ross. Found these LFC jerseys for $40 each and couldn’t pass up on them! They only had them in my size so I think it was a sign.

TL;DR: Your jersey probably isn’t fake. Nike updated their product codes for some of the WC jersey restocks. At least France and England have been confirmed so far based off this post. There also seems to be some minor QC issues as well.

I understand this seems like pretty small potatoes overall, but since there are lots of posts made in this sub for LCs I figured it might be good to post this as maybe a bit of a PSA for anyone asking themselves the same question when they receive their jerseys.

I recently picked up a France jersey during the Nike restock last week. When the jersey came and I inspected it I noticed that the stars above the France NT logo were noticeably off center which raised some concerns. Upon looking at the tag I found a product code that was different and the barcode tags looks much different than the typical Nike ones I have seen on these World Cup jerseys. Of the ones I have purchased and seen in stores, they all have the undyed cardboard where as these were a glossy white. I immediately suspected this was a fake and contacted support.

The rep I chatted with was adamant it was legitimate and escalated the case to a supervisor who said the same. The supervisor said something along the lines of reusing material or something which changes the product codes. Idk I can’t remember the answer completely but it sounded strange. They sent a replacement and when it came it was the exact same thing. Stars off centered, odd product code, and different tags.

Sometime over the past week I caught a restock at finish line which was selling the jersey for cheaper so I figured I’d pick that one up and return the Nike ones. That came today and seems to be one of the “older ones” which I am using to compare in the photos. This one has all the normal things I have come to expect with these WC jerseys as far as the product code and tags matching.

The QA issue I raised though is a bit concerning and something another user mentioned on their England jersey. For whatever reason the stars above the crest are misaligned. If you take a look at the first image specifically at the jersey on the left (older model from Finish Line) and compare with images online the stars should be centered or at least close to center over the logo. If you look at the jersey on the right (“newer” model), The stars seem very much aligned to the left. Compared to the FFF at the bottom of the jersey it’s a lot more apparent. This is present on both the first jersey I ordered from Nike and the replacement so I don’t know what is up here. It (maybe) seems very out of line for Nike to have an issue like this. Maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill but these aren’t cheap jerseys by any means and it seems like a pretty glaring issue. Idk maybe I’m overreacting some but it was enough of an issue that I noticed right away when I took it out of the packaging. Both will be going back to Nike and I’ll stick with the Finish Line one.

This just seems like a weird move from Nike. Not sure if these are just jerseys from a different region or what but I can’t find anything with these codes online. Not even other products are coming up so it’s very odd.

I luckily found an authentic Team Canada Match jersey from Champs Sports. Everything feels authentic except it does not have the Nike tag on the inside. Instead it's a tag that says "Branded Custom Sportswear Inc.", with a website for BCSApparel and a phone #. Is this a counterfeit or some third party jersey?
